As for this fight its bullshit no matter how people try to hype it. Marquez is a lightweight and Mayweather is a welter. He is a straight coward and has been for years. There were plenty of fighters at 147 he could have fought as a tune up. This fight doesnt nothing but helps Marquez legacy and does absolutely nothing for Mayweather. Not only that but the punk came in at 146 when the catch weight was 144.

Man I just don't understand how everyone hates on Mayweather all the time. Like guys have never gone up in weight to fight someone before? PacMan went up to fight Oscar and beat him, but no one was calling Oscar a coward for fighting someone smaller than him. Mayweather went up to fight Oscar, but now he's a coward for fighting the best lightweight?

i dont come here enough to argue..... JMM is one of the best around because he is a techinally consistent fighter who adapts extremely well to whoever he is fighting..... he got knocked down 3 times by Pac-Man in their first fight i believe but came back to score a draw... the second fight i thought he won.... flatout......

Exactly , people are acting as if JMM is just a decent/good fighter . If not for a very bad split decision loss JMM would possibly be the p4p number one coming into this fight .

I think Floyd will win but there is no way he wins easy

PBF Vs. JMM for me, hands down. I've seen UFC 103 too many times. UFC fights are more or less the same these days, with nothing spectacular or amazing unless they feature BJ Penn, Spider, or GSP.

Floyd is the best pure boxer on the planet. JMM is just an awesome fighter to watch.

I'll be at some party that is ordering the UFC fight so I will miss the boxing match, but if I had my choice I'd have them put on the boxing match.

I am rooting for Marquez because I like him more as a person, but I think PBF will win and will fin fairly easily actually.

There is nothing better than watching two of the most talented boxers in the world stand and trade. Nothing.

Man I just don't understand how everyone hates on Mayweather all the time. Like guys have never gone up in weight to fight someone before? PacMan went up to fight Oscar and beat him, but no one was calling Oscar a coward for fighting someone smaller than him. Mayweather went up to fight Oscar, but now he's a coward for fighting the best lightweight?

& Mayweather is still #1 P4P until someone beats him.

I cant speak for everyone but I hate the dude because we see the talent but the dude is protecting that 0 on his record as if his life depended on it and for that boxing fans are suffering. You would think a cocky disrecpectful faggot such as himself, who would come out his mouth and say he is better than Ray Leonard, Ali and every great that came before him all the while trying to discredit them, would actually fight the best fighters of his generation and in his weight class but instead he fights high profile fighters with very little risk.

This guy has been hand picking opponents since he moved to 140. He even went as far as to retire so he wouldnt have to face Cotto when he was undefeated and he is now trying to discredit Shane Mosley for having 5 L's (all which came to great fighters Floyd would never fight) and act as if thats a valid reason for him not to fight him when he fought a weak ass Carlos Baldomir for the WBC WW title when he had 9 L's at the time.

In one interview he says he is a belt collector then in an interview with Brian Kenney when asked why dont he fight the legit welter weight champ in Mosley for his title he says a belt doesnt make him. I mean what is it? Are you a belt collector? A belt doesnt make you are a belt collector against opposition who doesnt pose a real threat against you?

Nobody hates on him for no reason. The hate he receives is warranted. He has a lot of people fooled but not I. Mayweather is nothing but a loud mouth coward. As great as a fighter Marquez is he is a light weight and nobody in the boxing world was clamoring for this fight. Mayweather is doing nothing but taking the path of least resistance. None of the ATG's he disrespected pulled the shit he is pulling.

this is a problem MMA in the U.S. has, a lot of the fights just look the same, so many guys just want to 'stand and bang' and they are not skilled enough and it looks sloopy, or if they take it to the ground they want to 'lay and pray' for the decision win, the rules dictate this and guys are playing for points, thats not what it should be about

all this years the UFC in particular has marketed the UFC and not the fighters which has worked, but now just people just saying 'Hey, you watching the UFC tonight!' isnt enough, people want to know who is fighting, all these cards have watered down the cards which was a big reason people like MMA cards compared to boxing, just throwing some TUF guys on the undercard to 'stand and bang' isnt going to cut it for much longer

You are right about Floyd, he never trades. But he is still so impressive to watch because nobody possesses the skills that he does. He is a boxer, not a puncher, and I love to watch guys box. Even counter-punchers and defensive boxers.

Boxing undercards usually always suck. Everyone wants to see PBF/Pac. To be honest I'm looking more forward to Pac/Cotto than PBF/JMM but I do like JMM.

He didn't fight Cotto mainly because of who he would have to deal with when making a deal . Mayweather made it clear from day one that he would deal with Cotto one on one when setting the fight up but not with cottos manager . He fought De La Hoya and it wasn't impressive according to pundits because De La Hoya was old , then Manny beats De La Hoya (all be it more convincing) a year later and suddenly it's an amazing win? did he get younger in 12 months? If we want to talk about coward moves lets talk about how Manny REFUSES to fight JMM again ..... "I think me and him are done" yeah you would say that Manny . Run away with that bs decision and act like you beat JMM when the whole world outside of 2 judges know you didn't . Then 18months later of a SHATTERING defeat Manny faces Hatton and wins and once again ... it's an "Impressive win" ... why? why is Mayweather beating Hatton taking the easy road but when Manny beats him 18 MONTHS AFTER a big defeat it's suddenly cool? because Hatton beat Paulie in the middle of that? LOL really?

I agree , Mayweather barely won the oscar fight and was called out for taken on an "old fighter" after it ..... I just want to know how De La Hoya suddenly wasn't so old in most "Boxing experts" minds when Manny beat him? I know he destroyed him but he was still old right? where is the negative comments towards that fight? You were knocking him for fighting a guy that's smaller than he is, which is not a legit knock when he just fought Oscar who's way bigger than Floyd. If he’s a coward then he wouldn’t have moved up in weight. Personally I don't care what Floyd does or says outside of the ring, who cares? What does it matter that he's cocky and says stupid shit? Bottom line is once he gets in that ring he's the best pure technician that the sport has to offer. What he says doesn’t degrade what he displays in the ring at all.

It’s nothing but bias when it comes to Floyd. Was PacMan the #1 P4P fighter before he beat Oscar and Hatton? Nope, but once he beat those two he cemented himself as the P4P best.
