Condit vs Hendricks was a fantastic fight. Was watching the PPV in the living room with Mrs. Leaf and said "That fight just made the entire sixty-dollar purchase worth it."

I am a huge GSP fan, but, Condit and Hendricks stole the show last night. Much better than the shit that Nick Ring and Chris Camozzi put on display.

I'm not saying condit didn't put up a good fight, but hendricks worked his gameplan better. He landed big strikes in the first two rounds, and everytime condit tried getting something going he got scooped up and dropped every single time. Something like 10 for 10 at one point in takedowns.

Condit needed the finish by the third round, and wasn't able to get it. The reversal he had in the third with like 15 seconds left off the cage was beautiful, and he never gave up... Heart of a warrior, no doubt. BUT he lost the fight. I'm not the only one who thinks so either... Condit agrees :truestory:

I'm not entirely sold on Hendricks completely shutting down GSP's wrestling (he struggled against Rick Story a few years back), but there's no doubt he has the KO power to finish at any point.

He did noticeably tire down towards the end of round 2 and in round 3 but was able to rely on his takedowns to beat Condit. That stamina must improve if he's going to beat GSP by means other than a 1st or 2nd round KO.

Still, he can do it. Certainly a better shot to stop St. Pierre than any of his past several challengers.

GSP's foot speed and technique are at a super human level...Hendricks has knockout power, sure...but to actually connect on GSP is another story. You'd have to catch GSP slipping in the championship rounds and chances are unlikely.

GSP tossed Diaz around like a rag doll in the first half of the fight, then outboxed the boxer in the second half. Dominant performance, and honestly I don't know where Diaz goes from here unless he's OK with being a gatekeeper.

I cant even get moderately excited to see Georges fight at this point, and this is one of my all-time favourites. You go in knowing theres not even a remote possibility the fight is getting finished. And tired of hearing him act like hes sorry he didnt finish after the fight. Easily the most annoying part of it all. Take your dominant victory, smile, and go home.
