cmon....your entitled to your opinion, but you gonna tell me that UC is better than demon souls? i didnt even finish that game and i can say that. Great graphics, awesome gameplay, incredible detail and amazing rpg aspects and replay value

what about MGS4? that game had the same movie type aspects to it. But at least it had deep gamplay to go along with it

i see where you guys are both coming from. and perhaps its my own clouded judgment that is making me think this is a great game. but i really suck at most shooter games so perhaps the pre-determined aspect makes me think its better than it is cause it helps me out a bit more lol

just about everything else. i didnt say everything. all the groans in the world wont change the fact that uncharted is better than 90% of the other games out there. kinda weird how your so versed in a game that you've barely even played. so please go back to playing mw2 for 13 hours straight with your little clan buddies.

i am dissapointed that people get so excited and make a game seem like the GOAT and they base that off of how it looks rather than how it plays.

so far, everything i am doing is a predesigned action for drake. there is no decision making in your players movements at all. everything is fully mapped out and its basically what you described as a movie that you play the role of the main character. but you dont have any control over the game or the role. You just move, jump, climb, shoot at what the game tells you. And that stuff isnt fun at all. The gameplay thus far is pretty dull

i mean we are talking about a game that rated 96 at metacritic. And thats because of its great graphics, story and acting. You play games so that you can play them, not so you can watch them. This reminds me of Dragon's Lair

all the great shooting war type games have scripted events cod, halo, even open end games like grand theft auto where the missions tell you what to do the thing is a story is just like that a story its supposed to take you in and give you a ride, uncharted was never meant to be a do anything go anywhere type of game its a shooter that has a pretty good storyline with some pretty cool events. overall what makes the game awesome was just the overall mood the game put you in and the action that was on screen. A train falling apart while your on it comon where have you seen that before in a game.

oh yeah as for saying it tells you what to do if you look at all the patterns the people do you can approach almost everything strategically and eliminate all the guards 1 by 1 stealth style so.......

sandy vag? dont be bitter......i said i only played 2 chapters so far. And my opinions were based on that. I dont see anyone really saying that the game changes from what i have already seen. I realize you like this game and i am not trying to put it down.

2 chapters...out of 26. and yes the game does change. anyones whos played and beat the game would agree the first few levels with all the stealth are the worst in the game.

story wise and a bunch of the situations that happen in which you get to interact with is what made me think the game was phenomenal.

the action really does pick up with chapters 6 and 7 imo

Like you said, it has a 96 on Metacritic. A fucking 96. I think that's the highest score on the site for a game right now. I'm going to go out on a limb and say all of those reviewers aren't in on some grand conspiracy.

What other game has a cover system like Uncharted where you can cover behind almost everything, shoot while hanging and still climb things like Assassins Creed. BEST GAME EVER


But seriously, in uncharted you dont need a open world game because the characters and story are so driven that you want to move forward and learn what happens on this rollar coaster adventure.

Also, this game does have a multiplayer you know, and those gameplay elements I told you about make multiplayer one of the best out there right now.

The game is good and the only reason anyone would shit on it is because they like different games other than on-rails action shooters OR... a better game in their eyes has just come out.

Given that you need to go from Point A to Point B, any game could be thought of as such if it gives a player a gun and an objective.

Even a game like GTA (3 through IV), with all it's "sandbox" features eventually becomes one because you are forced to go to Point B if you wish to continue with the story.

i enjoyed uncharted's mp way more then mw2. slower pace, firefights that could last more than 3 seconds. platforming is just as important as shooting. one thing it lacks is the depth of mw2 with all the customization possible

Makes me long for Army of Two: 40th Day if only for the mix-and-match guns, decals you can download/upload to your character for their masks (Clans will love that shit), and an advanced aggro-system.

I used to refer to MW2 all the time for the customization and now I talk about 40th Day, mid-game whenever I cause 4 out of the 5 opposing team players to want to kill me all at once.

Meanwhile, my teammates are sneaking around to deposit grenade suppositories and I love UC2 even more.
