Not that it's any consolation but the group I played with last even collectively lost their shit when I put up double digits while they couldn't get a kill.

Something about taking the game disc out and implanting it into a nearby wall.

Naughty Dog gets their shit together somewhat:

Title Update 1.06 will be released on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM PST (what time is that in my city?). After that time, you will be prompted to download and install Title Update 1.06 when you connect online to UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer.

Title Update 1.06 includes a couple under-the-hood fixes we needed to make that don’t affect gameplay. Beyond that, we’ve also made the following updates:


Removed automatic shoulder selection when players click the L1 shoulder button to aim
Delayed the appearance of the scoreboard to allow time for players to view any medals received simultaneously with player death
At the same time the Title Update is released, we’ll also be pushing live updates to other aspects of our multiplayer. These updates include:


Adjusted hitbox attributes so that players will take less damage to the character’s legs

Decreased kill radius of grenades by 1 meter

Decreased accuracy of Down the Irons by 15%

Reduced rate of fire of the FAL by 10%

Reduced rate of fire for the Dragon Sniper by 10%

Collision and geometry changes to “The Fort” to prevent intentional glitching by players

We’ll be keeping an eye on how these changes work out in-game and, as usual, through your comments, forum posts and Twitter. See you online!

glad to see they reduced the accuracy of down the irons. DTI + Fleet Foot was straight up cheese so of course everyone used it.hopefully now not everyone will be DTI/FF.

People are still going to use it regardless...

Useless perks like "Monkey Man" and the two upgrades toward mobility with the Gatlin Gun and the Riot Shield only lead to it.

most people probably will, but the cheesiness factor has been cut down so that might sway some people not to use it. some of the perks are beyond useless. being able to destroys boxes easier helps you in no way whatsoever, and the gatling gun one was stupid cause the gatling only spawns once a game, so when its gone the perk is useless the rest of the game

I had the dude practically put a 'Nade between two slices of bread and ate the damn thing and STILL didn't die.

Of course I think is it's an improvement.

Had an interesting discussion about how they nerfed the grenades and the FAL gun in the middle of a Mexican standoff... until a grenade or two ended it.

Seems like in order to win anything now, you just need to aim higher with your AK and pray you have enough bullets.

Spent my day off this late morning leveling up online only to find that I can't connect to certain games due to people quitting seconds before the match starts.

ALSO, I get the disconnect error (8008...something) pretty much saying that I got booted all the way off the Playstation Network.

Not going to go into the whole song-and-dance about how I don't quit games, etc. but damned if Naughty Dog doesn't see this as a Game Quit.

Now I get this:

We noticed you didn't finish the last game that you started so you will recieve a $40,000 earning penalty and a reduction in your skill rating.

If this has to do with the game before where the damn thing wouldn't start (due to people dropping before the match), I'm going to be pissed.

I had to boot out of the game just to start playing online again.

Them two and my boy Slim were great ringers for the few maps we all fought on; merk'n dudes left and right for fun.

It's fun playing with ringers online if only to keep my K/D ratio up.
