[PS3] Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Sgt Slaughter on the train keeps messing me up. Hes wearing nothing but a half helmet and a green gear but hes as hard to kill as those bomb squad looking guys that you have to shoot their helmet off , then shoot them in the head.

Took me like 7-8 times. I found a guide that said, use a shotty or Deagle and grenades. Well, I didnt have either. I had an M4, Beretta and a grenade, so I threw the grenade first, then I went and tried CQ.

Thing about CQ with this guy is that its not as bad as you would think. On your first engagement, Drake will do a hit and counter move, and move to the other side of the car while pushing fat boy away to the opposite side. At this point, you can pick up an additional Nade on the crate there. Throw it, watch him stumble, and then get into the closed doorway at that end of the car. Let him come to you and engage him again, and just start beating the shit out of it, while hitting triangle to avoid his melee attacks, eventually he will go down, like 30 secs or so.

This is the only part of the car where I was able engage him in a CQ battle, if you try engaging fat boy with any amount of room behind you, Drake will only engage, and then do a quick move and disengage.

I found that after he would throw a grenade at me, I could rush him and engage him that way. Took about three or four engagements to finish him off.

I got home from work around 3:30 am est time...its 8 am now and I had to fight myself to put the controller down. Now i sleep til 3 pm, work at 5 pm, get out at 3 am and prob come close to finishing the game.... I have I think 40 or so treasures at this point im actually doing pretty well and making good time for all the crazy searching im doing. Word of advice, when you see statues and stuff check and see if crowns or eyes sparkle it could be a treasure.

Damn. I wish I would've seen this tip sooner.

Although I would like to point out that it appears ND has hidden quite a few treasures high up to where you have to shoot them down. Very similar to RE5.

So far only treasure ive found up high that i had to shoot down was in the light puzzle room. I havent looked up high too often though. im on level 13 or 14 i believe.

I just finished the single player. Amazing fucking game. The ending was hilarious.

I think this was mentioned before but I'm not sure. Did anyone notice that ND thanked Bungie and Infinity Ward in the credits. Pretty damn cool.

Considering they took Horde Mode and the Martyr Perk and implemented it in-game, they better thank them.

Forget it, after I posted that, I went and took him on again. Beat him after blowing up a few sap deposits. The end was once again epic.

Wonderful stuff, I almost didn't shoot down the Guardian that was choking Chloe, LOL. Sully going after Chloe was more than hillarious and topped only by the back to back Drake and Elena have at the end.

BTW if you guys didn't look through the journal close enough, you prolly missed Drake's count of how many bad guys he's killed LOL, 1075 or something.
