As much as I love playing this game, especially with Jay and other VSD guys, it just feels like such a waste of time. I mean I know I'll be playing the final game a ton when it comes out but I just feel like I want to put any more time into the beta when nothing carries over and I have so many other games to play.

You do get some items and money right off the bat in UC3 if you accomplish certain goals in the beta though.

As far as the game cash goes, yeah, it's worth it to at least get to Rank 25.

As for the Beta Decals, there's no idea what they wanted out of you to get them since they're alternating game modes in what it seems like every odd day.

I'd say it's only worth it if you have people to play with; Otherwise, go get Uncharted 2, a COMPLETE GAME, and get something out of what time you put in.

I imagine the numbers they gave are per mode (5 if co-op, 10 otherwise), and since they've brought back all of the modes that have been available previously, I've been hitting up the couple of modes that I know I don't have the requisite number of completed matches. The co-op decals should be the easiest since that's the best way to level up and it takes the least amount of completions.

Ok, I knew I wasn't losing my mind when I said the beta looked great. The visuals were damn impressive and the lighting was awesome. I can't remember who it was and I'm not wading through a gazillion posts but I know someone said it looked like crap.

The reason I mention this is because I was just listening to the Giant Bombcast from 07/05 and they are all (minus Gerstman who hadn't played it) raving about how amazing it looked.

Maybe whomever thought it looked like ass needs a new tv.

in the beginning of the beta they were down converting 720p into 480p for those who had 1080i tvs that did not have the 720p ratio

if you would of looked on the naughty-dog boards a lot of people were having that problem. They fixed it in 1.03 update though

I still maintain that the artstyle in Uncharted 2 is way better than uncharted 3's direction.

the beta is over and the next time people will be able to play multiplayer is in october with the subway & uncharted promotion where you get to play uncharted 3 gold multiplayer early

Either pay $30 for the UC2 Collector's Edition (full MP, plus the DLC maps, skins, etc.) or $40 for the upcoming double pack (Uncharted 1 AND 2).

You can practice for UC3 and learn conversational Spanish at the same time!
