does it play pretty much identical to UC2? is there anything that feels new besides the story and setting?

Yes it feels much like the previous games but the Fighting system is a little bit like batman with counters and such. No combos though. Some of the fights vs the big dudes can last 30 secs to a minute....but they are fun. Shooting I would say is harder for me for some reason. I think i need to turn down the aiming sensitivity more. I also found it easier and more rewarding to sneak around and take guys out. The enemies take less bullets and head-shots are 1 and done. You can throwback grenades but there is a meter of which I dont know how it works.

Graphics are better and the voice acting is probably the best in a video game.

My brother went to one of those in NYC a week or two ago. He got a bunch of free stuff, and of course the game shipped here a couple days ago.

I'm only on chapter six, which is a long ass chapter by the way, and I think JMS hits the nail on the head.

Twigg they dont leave games for me either. I have to fill a slip out every time and end up getting stuff 1 day later than I am suppose to. Just the way it is..

It's like the kick meter in Madden. When one lands near you the meter will appear along with the grenade icon. When the meter line moves into the white area press triangle to throw it back. You obviously have to be quick.

There is a puzzle in Chapter 8 that is really pissing me off. I don't know if the game is glitched or what.

 

It involves the big and little dipper star constellations. I have no problems finding them, and the north star in particular. But what am I supposed to do? It seems the game wants me to use Cutter's binoculars by I've tried every button and nothing works.

No, it's completely separate from the campaign.

I'm on Chapter 9. Of course this game is still amazing.

I think my save says I'm a little over 40% through the game.

I would guess five or six hours? I only have 21 treasures too.

I don't know. Uncharted 1 was kind of short, 8-10 hours maybe? But Uncharted 2 was at least 15 hours. It seems to be on par with Uncharted 2 so far.

Just checked, Uncharted 1, even with my treasure play through took me 8 hours 12 minutes. Uncharted 2 I'm 5% through my second play through, and the total time is only at 10 hours 10 minutes. Granted, my first time through UC2 I didn't spend any time looking for treasures.

I'm the complete opposite. I like that you can see a lot more of your surroundings with third person games.

I still think Rainbow Six had it best, when you could hide in the corners and lean....gave you that TP perspective and kept the FP action in the game too.
