You get to play. Plus there is a multiplayer tournament. Giveaways all night. Members of the Naughty Dog team will be there. And most importantly, you get the game Fed Ex'd to you on 10/25, a full week before the actual release. All for $60. So I will probably have the game finished before most people get to even buy it.

So they're saying that this DLC will be $70? That's seems like a lot for four map packs and some skins. Does anyone know how many map packs they released for Uncharted 2? I seem to remember them being pretty cheap and so were the skins.
 
cant say i blame them for trying to make their money. i dont like this shit though. you pay 60 for a game then have another 70 in DLC....shits getting out of hand.

dont get me wrong, if i knew i was buying all the DLC of course i would spend the $25
 
$85 for the game plus DLC... Sounds fair if you want more maps (the Subway maps feel old now) and the ability to play Cole from inFamous 2 later on.

Or... you could be a Cheap-O and wait a year for the GOTY Edition.
 
With some of these other games coming out that I'm getting for the MP aspect, I'm not sure how much I'll actually play this game online. Who knows, I still may end up caving and getting the pass.

I think Harrison Ford would make a good Sully. He can do that smarmy dirty old man deal pretty well.

Hmm, ours wasn't. The team they had there kept things hyped throughout. It didn't hurt that my buddy and I fell in love with one of the chicks there. So hot. I love dteh Q&A sessions with the two developers there, Keith and Matt. I wish I could remember their last names. They were awesome. They interspersed things with Matt playing through a few sections of the single player. The desert part where you see Drake finding a town but unsure if it's real or not; an extended show of the chateau; and the airport, which was amazing. Actually every thing they showed was jaw dropping. The 3D stuff was subtle but looked awesome. Having the fire embers on the chateau seemingly brush against your face was crazy.

The multiplayer tourney was awesome. Some of the matches were blow outs but most were really close. People were reacting to the play on the big screen pretty well. It just sucked that my team got bounced in the first round. My cousin's team and my buddy's team made it to the round of 8 before being knocked out.

The giveaways were nice too although none of us won anything. :(

I like the swag bag they gave us too.

You can't beat all that for the same price of the game itself...and getting it before everyone else.
