Unknowns/Surprises who may have impact this season

Steelers
Offense: Isaac Redman-A bruiser of a back who always has good camps and shows up in preseason games had limited action last year, but scored the game winning TD against Baltimore bouncing off two tackles. Should save Mendenhall from some carries this season

Defense: Keenan Lewis-I've read good things about his new attitude that he is bringing to camp and the preseason this year, and picked off Mike Vick last week against Philly

Offense: Jared Cook - TE.

- No one knows of him besides Titans fans and hardcore FF players, but he's posed to have an incredible season. He's been the most impressive player in training camp. An absolute freak physically, he finally got on the field late in the season because of Jeff Fisher's stubbornness and love for Bo Scaife, putting up a 5-96-1 statline against KC.​

Defense: Karl Klug - DT

- He was an after-thought in the draft class but has been great in camp and pre-season, jumping into the starting rotation on day one. He'll be a big part in Jerry Gray's new defensive scheme.​

Colts D: Drake Nevis

Third round rookie who's looked good so far.

Every year, people want to talk about Jermichael Finley, saying he's going to have a big year, predicting huge numbers from him.... and then he gets hurt. I'm really not convinced he can stay healthy. For this reason, I think Andrew Quarless on offense is going to be a big deal, he's looked great so far and just seems to really want it.

On defense, depending on how he heals, Frank Zombo could snag 6-8 sacks opposite Clay Matthews. He's a try hard defender, plays with Clay's passion, and is a self made man in the mold of Cullen Jenkins and Aaron Kampman, guys who loved to play in Green Bay and loved the community and leave it all on the field.

Quarless always that the talent...but at PSU, it just seemed like between his issues, he couldn't get on the field and make plays...he's a good size and has nice speed and good hands...never really utilized his talents in college.

Right on with Schofield. I think he will surprise a few Cardinals fans and provide a legitimate pass rush. Offensively, I'm going to lean towards Stephens-Howling. He's going to be our 3rd down back now and work his ass off on punt/kick returns. I'm just hoping his small frame can keep right and avoid the injury bug.

you guys still have that RB from GT? Big bruising back...

Colts D: Drake Nevis

Third round rookie who's looked good so far.

Big Drake was a fucking steal for you guys in R3. Just as good as Fairley, though not quite as explosive. More of a gap eater but just as disruptive. Plus he's got the dreads and the crazy Mike Singletary eyes that make him look like a bad ass. He'll be a fan fave in Indy by week 8.

Giants

Offense: WR Devin Thomas -- The battle for 3/4 wideouts and KR is wide open and through 2 pre-season games, he's been the most impressive. Good vision, speed on returns.

Even more of a surprise///Da'Rel Scott simply because the RB is blazing fast.


Defense: LB Spencer Paysinger -- The rook makes plays all over the field. Should be able to see some playing time despite an overload of guys in the group, too.

Offense - Golden Tate

I don't know why, I just think he finally shows up.. he might be a late season bloomer though as he is buried on the depth chart now.

Defense - Kam Chancellor

Earl Thomas gets all the fan fare, but Chancellor is no slouch either.. for a team with so many holes, the Seahawks actually have a pair of really talented safeties.

He played BEAUTIFULLY against Green Bay last week, and I think he's gonna be able to show a lot more of that as the season grows on and he gets more comfortable with what Horton asks him to do.

And I LOVE The Hyphen. He's going to be very important in getting us field position with the new kickoffs (Stephen Williams has looked pretty good there too during camp). Idk if they'll keep 'Zo Smith or go for a different back once cut day comes, but I think 'Zo and Hyphen would be great compliments to Beanie.

Also, FB Anthony Sherman. He's going to be fucking NASTY on kickoff coverages. He's got a head full of steam and he just wants to smash some facemasks. I'm excited for that.

Not ringing a bell...I can't think of anyone the Cards have gotten from Georgia Tech.
