Yeah. If they were smart they'd use their new Agents of SHIELD TV show to introduce these secondary characters to the public and get their origins out of the way so you don't need to waste big screen time.
 
Only confirmed new heroes that have been confirmed for Phase 3 are Ant-Man and Doctor Strange. So stoked for Strange, I wonder who they'll cast.
 
Dr Strange, Blade, and Avengers 4 will be the only successful movies of the ones recently announced. Strange could be a lot of great actors, depending on the age they set for him. If he is younger, I'd love to see him played by whoever plays Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock (too lazy to look it up) or if they go older, he can be played by quite a few very qualified actors.

Blade is a reboot, so it will have some appeal naturally. Avengers will be a hit no matter what.

As for the rest... I just don't see how they can make it big. They aren't main people, they are secondary at best. People know who the Hulk, Iron Man, or Spiderman are just from their appeal even out of the comics. The Iron Fist? Black Panther? I know these guys, but the average person will have no clue.
 
Black Panther has the benefit of being able to be directed towards the urban market. Not saying that it needs to be Tyler Perry Presents The Black Panther but it can appeal to a target demographic that the current films may be missing. He also has one of the easier individual backstories as it can be about his rise to power as the ruler of Wakanda
 
Kevin Feige mentioned that they do eventually plan to incorporate the Marvel street heroes(Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, etc) into their universe but their priorities are explaining the more difficult aspects of the universe such as cosmic and magical elements first.
 
Strange should be a huge part of Marvel's plans moving on, imo. Especially with the direction it looks like they're going. Also, I'm almost more excited for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie than I am for Thor 2/Captain America 2 :yep:
 
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were both confirmed to be in Avengers 2. They are completely ignoring the fact they are mutants and are looking to cast British actors to play the roles.
 
Kind of surprised, but gotta trust that Wheldon will pull it off, especially since the two of them are some of Wheldon's favorite Marvel characters. It could work though being as how Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver and even Magneto all didn't actually know they were related. :dunno:
 
Agents of SHIELD has officially been picked up by ABC as a series for the fall. The first promo is supposed to air sometime this weekend.
