Finally, your often reliable Eleven Warriors tweeted Thursday night, "We are 99.7% sure Urban Meyer has agreed to a deal to become the next coach of Ohio State. Solid sources. Plural. Just to clarify: We were being serious. No timetable for announcement yet, obviously." Obviously, 99.7% isn't a done deal, but it was the highlight of my day, at least.

so your saying who is this Eleven Warriors and why do we give a shit about their lame ass blog? OSU fans probably know the answer to this already.

these people are extremely reliable. its being reported that its a 7 year deal worth $35 mil. The job would have to be posted for 10 days since its a state position, but the announcement may come at the Duke OSU basketball game at halftime. There is also word that Fickell will remain as Dee Cord.

Barring the NCAA bringing the hammer down, Urban Meyer will be our coach next year. Pretty much every source out there is in agreement on that one.

And he's reportedly going after LSU's OC/OL coach Greg Studrawa, his former assistant at Bowling Green, to be his OC/OL coach, and the interest is very much mutual.

The Fickell news is less sure. Some say that he will stay on as an assistant head coach/defensive coordinator, others say he's gone to either be the HC at a MAC-level school or a defensive coordinator somewhere else.

I agree. It seems he was burnt out at Florida and wanted to take some time off. He's probably re-engergized and misses football. I don't see anything wrong with that. IMO people get too caught up on the whole "spend time with my family" comments.

Whats so wrong about that? Doing TV work was clearly less taxing on his health than being a head coach.
