I'm not so sure the Giants regressed, either.
The biggest loss that may end up hurting was Kevin Boss. Not so much as a pass catcher because he only cut something like 30 balls last year, but as a stable run blocker. The guys we expect to play TE this year are unproven in that respect.
Steve Smith was not going to play anyway coming off micro fracture surgery. Plus, Nicks and Manningham are still playmakers. Seeing who develops as a stable slot presence is a question mark, no doubt.
Offenisve line, I think we did the best we could figuring Seubert and O'Hara were both older and injury prone (granted, Seubert was the best of the OLmen last year…another terrible leg injury though). Moving Diehl inside to guard should certainly strengthen the core of the line and Baas should be able to play all season. The question will be whether Beatty can continue progressing as a legit LT in the NFL.
Defensively, pending health, the Giants are as good if not better. Kiwanuka, JPP, Osi and Tuck make for one of the sickest pass rushing units in the sport. The loss of Cofield sucks but throw in big Austin, Joseph, Canty and back-ups…it'll be okay. The secondary is basically the same with the exception of Tyler Sash as a back-up safety. Amukamara should be able to return in the second half of the season. Hopefully Aaron Ross holds up in the nickel and one of the other guys step up as more depth behind Webster and Thomas.
The LBs can go no place but up and the same for special teams. Assume Weatherford makes the team as punter plus Rhys Lloyd is handling kickoffs now so no more watching teams run amuck there.

I fear Philly the most, not so much for all their big acquisitions, but because they almost always have the Giants number.
Besides, Vick can't possibly do what he did last year to them...again. Right?
