We have to sort out some issues, there's a growing divide within players of the club and some people are frustrated, including me.


We need to play on the same page, which we aren't doing. Some players want to control the ball more, overlap, cross and play a possession based game. Some players just want to continually put through balls down the wings or over the top until the whistle blows. This isn't working.

Guys are not playing their position and it's further forcing the kick n rush style, because when we come into possession, finding someone to pass to is far too fucking hard. Too often I'll make a tackle, then see the CAM behind me and a ST parallel wide to one side. Like wtf? If we're in possession but you don't have the ball, it's YOUR JOB to be in position and get open. You shouldn't be deeper than the players behind you, you should be marking your man or getting ready for an outlet pass.

It's mental when a ST bulls down the wing, to cross into the middle...which is where he's supposed to be, instead it's the other ST marked by 2 CB's. This causes the CAM to have to move forward, oh but wait he's out of the play because he was playing behind the back line and is now too fucking tired to get back into the play (stamina management anyone?)...so the CDM has to push up, and now we're completely out of shape and prone to a counter.

If we push up the field so fast, then the proper players can't get involved and we end up losing the ball in 1 on 2's, or throwing in a hopeful cross to a marked ST. If we're pushing ahead in form, then our LM/RM can push up the wings to cross. The holding ST can either strike crosses on goal, or dish to the second striker or CAM underneath. Alternatively we could play back inside to the CM/CAM to then overlap/setup one another on the top of the box.


Shape is lacking, style is mixed, no patience and selfish play is really killing us right now. We have to decide if we're going to address these concerns or split the group into separate clubs. I believe in agreeance with me includes Wright/seaplus/lanteri/Trm....

To put in the thread what I added to the conversation in the CB earlier:

One of the things we need to establish is a consistent formation, and consistent roles amongst us. Even if it means KG spelling out to the letter for everyone involved what they should and shouldn't be doing to ensure that we do indeed keep our shape as a team, and play as a cohesive unit. What's lacking right now is any kind of chemistry amongst any of us, and this boils down simply to the constant changing around of who plays where and in what capacity. I believe we'd all be well served if we hashed out who's playing what position primarily (doesn't have to be the same thing every single game, maybe one or two backup positions), so we can all focus on learning the best way to play that particular position. We're never going to improve if we don't put in the effort and focus.

What it really comes down to though, is what kind of club we want to be. Are we in it to win matches and be the best we can be? Or are we just playing casually to kill some time and have some fun? I feel like most of us are competitive enough where we want to win game, so I think it's a self-answering question.

I'm in the "casually playing just to have fun" crowd, of course I wanna win but I'm not gonna take it overly serious. Also I'll stick to either playing CDM or RCM because that seems to be where I get my best player ratings.

No Lan is being too serious. There are no set positions. Play wherever. If other guys want to play striker or midfield w/e its cool. I still haven't really found a formation I like. Idk why but I don't really like the 4-3-1-2. Either way as a team we don't really play as bad as you make it sound. We have lost a lot of close games due to CPU or me just sucking at ANY. I think the biggest thing is we should be playing like 2 touch and get rid of the ball. I feel like whenever anyone is dribbling for a few steps eventually they dribble into a defender or something since the button response is quite different than versus. i know despite playing all of these games I still play the game like its Head2Head but the control isn't the same for whatever reason.

Oh another thing. fuck when I go to pass and my guy does a slide tackle and faggot pass for no reason.

Losing doesn't really bug me, but when people make terrible decisions with very obvious ones present, that grinds my fucking gears.



As for Lan, he has somewhat a point. You're going to develop a much better rhythm playing the same roles with players around you, rather than mixing it up. We generally play the same spots anyways.


I've got a bit of chem with Trm and Wright, I can anticipate where they will be and what passes they are looking for.

We can be flexible, form doesn't dictate style.

If we only have one striker online, we can play a 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-3-1. Should stay within what we are used to though.

You are the absolute worst for being out of position, most of you guys have no idea about movement you just follow the ball like schoolboys. Also why do certain people feel the need for all the holywood balls and going it yourself, pass the ball for gods sake can't count the amount of times I made runs and people just ignored it to take on 5 guys :smh:

Indeed. I did like the flat 4-4-2 formation we used too. We have no CAM in it, but I can play in the hole with a little bit more license to roam while you poach up top. We definitely do work well off each other though regardless.

I don't know how often this will happen though since when a lot of people are on, I'm probably like 5th choice striker, lol.
