I saw the Kings last year in the postseason, but I haven't really seen them at all this year. They've looked terrible in the first two games...just completely indistinguishable other than Quick in Game 1. Why can't/aren't the Kings just doing what the Red Wings did last series? No constant rough treatment of Toews (other than the lame 'fight' last night), no interference/obstruction of Hawks players during their up-ice rushes, no sending their Cleary/Franzen player straight into Crawford once a shift...what is Sutter doing? Or is it that the Kings are so far behind the action they can't even get close enough to the Hawks to do anything?

The only difference between Chicago and St Louis/San Jose is that the Blackhawks have been able to score enough goals to handle the Kings' opportunism. You spend two rounds getting all the good bounces and eventually you run out of luck. But in any case the Kings will consider Game 3 a reset. Their home ice is a fortress and they have a better chance than anyone at tying the series 2-2. If that happens oh dear ... get ready to break stuff.

This is the type of analysis I expect from this forum. The only goal LA's opportunism netted in game 1 was when Bolland foolishly tried to clear the puck by flinging it in front of his own net. The puck hit a Kings player in the back and bounced in the net. I would think there are a few more differences between Chicago and StL/SJ than Chicago being able to outscore the "opportunistic" Kings...but what do I know? I just watch the games.

More astounding analysis from the worst sports forum on VSN. Is everyone who claims to follow hockey this retarded? Did you watch ANY Of the Detroit-Chicago series? The low-seeded Wings almost beat the top-seeded Blackhawks. The Cleary/Franzen style (among the other things I mentioned which in you ignored) was effective, even if it didn't result in total victory. One would think that certain strategies could still have worth even if the over-matched team didn't win....then again, I have a brain, which is something you appear to be lacking.
