Well, I hope Belichick realizes that he just cost the Patriots any shot at home field advantage. I dont care what his track record is there really is no excuse for going for it at that moment and giving Peyton the ball at the 30 yard line. Even though Peyton could of scored if they punted I still like are chances of holding peyton to a touchdown with 60-70 yards to go than 30.

As for the game, Both Qbs played great, the run games were inconcistent, and both defenses showed they are not what the stats make them out to be as they finally played teams with good offenses.

I hope we see what we need to improve on in the future however . This o-line is horrible and needs to be sorted ASAP

look, I like both teams. But,like I said, the Colts are weak 8-0 . This game is the first real test all year unless you count the Arizona game for whatever reason. I wouldnt be suprised if the Colts lose by 17 points

Hate to see the refs make a game changing call like that. I felt it was easily a first down for the Patriots, but that's the way the game goes. Ref made a horrible spot on that play and over-estimated the juggle on 4th and 2. Pretty obvious first down IMO.

I don't 100% hate the call on 4th down, because either way the Patriots would be trying to stop the Colts from the 30 thanks to the outstanding "we have to play prevent when winning by less than a TD and less than 2 minutes left" rule that NFL coaches swear by.

What I do hate, is if you know you're going for it on 4th down then run the damn ball on 3rd and 4th down. No reason we should be doing a high risk out to Welker and then a retarded pass to Kevin Faulk. I understand the blitz forced Brady's hand, but still.

I don't mind that strategy of going for it. (Especially when it was actually a first down.) It makes sense, either punt it to Peyton and have him chew up all the clock and lose, our go for it trying to ice the game, with the chance that if you fail, you can get the ball back. The problem was the defense played like it would have if they punted. Because you're going for it you're saying they're going to score either way...so you have to let them score to get the ball back. Tackling Addai at the one ruined their chance to have time to kick the late field goal.

I didn't really care who won since I am an NFC guy (do like Manning though) but thought the Pats got jobbed by that "juggling BS". The ball hit Faulk in his right hand and he pulled down to his left hand while being shoved backwards. It was stupid of the Pats to have called the 2 timeouts though and not have one left for a challenge.

He most definitely did juggle the ball.

I can't validate this but someone told me a similar call and spot was made in the Eagles game last week.

Regardless of which way you lean it was close, and that's why you just punt the ball. It's not worth the risk when a few inches, or a juggled ball can make that big of a difference.

Props to Larry Coyer (for now). I know he has a questionable history and I'm not really sold on the D or some of the things he does... But it's so nice to see the Colts blitzing. And that coverage he called when Brady got picked off was beautiful.
