If u wanna play freestyle thats fine. But don't try to make it seem like your doing the same things real NFL teams are doing, cuz it's not the same
I'm not trying to make it seem like I'm doing what's on TV, believe me I don't or else I wouldn't buy madden I'd get Head Coach instead.
But since we're on the topic...
In the NFL the best receivers are ones that know how to run good routes and catch the ball. In Madden the best receivers are ones that are tall and big or fast, In Madden Matt Jones and Devin Hester are better than Marvin Harrison. In the NFL the Colts have one of the best passing games, in Madden there passing game isn't that good. In the NFL a no-name WR can't just come out and catch 5 straight "in/out" routes with Champ Bailey's holding him man to man. In madden that's very possible.
In the NFL the post isn't the most effective deep route. In the NFL, WR Screens aren't that effective. In the NFL LB's will never jump sidewayz 10 feet in the air and pick off a ball that was thrown to a WR 10 yards behind them.
In the NFL teams don't get TD's on 85% of their drives, punts are seen frequently, and games usually aren't decided on 1 drive. In about 90% of the madden games I play, it all comes down to the last one or two drives and
many times the loss is given to a person who scores on all but one drive. You turn the ball over 1 time in madden and usually you're screwed, in the NFL it's not a big deal unless it's late into the 4th.
In madden it's way to easy to score. That's why I spend 99% of my labbing time on Offense, there's no point of spending too much time on D because someone with an average offense will still find a way past it. In madden my whole thing is to have the best offense possible and score on every drive. Eventually alot of opponents make 1 mental mistake on Offense and they fall behind in points which allows me to win because I keep scoring.
Scoring on every drive isn't a crazy thing to happen in madden, in the NFL it never happens.
Madden is in many ways nothing like what happens on Sundays.
So no I didn't do what we see on Sunday's but neither did you. I don't think I've even seen a QB roll out of a pocket all the way to the sidelines with only 1 person going for the sack. Plus I can't imagine how a small CB would go right through 5 O-linemen, that too is something that can be done in Madden but never Happens in the NFL.
and to all the people who think I'm just some idiot who runs around cheesing all day, I actually do enjoy game when they're more realistic. That's why I like the one we played, less than 200 yards on both sides and a low total score at the end. It was fun having a game where both defenses actually did amazing. I'm use to games ending with a total score of 70+.
So you may call it cheese but I just realize the truth that madden no matter how it's played is far from the NFL.
