Karlos Dansby plays inside yet he's a LOLB in the game. Same goes for Ali Highsmith. They had it right last year, yet they somehow fucked this up. Dansby has NEVER played LOLB, if anything he should have been ROLB. Now I'm probably going to have to play 4-3 defense yet again this year.

Gabe Watson is too low at 68. They barely made him better than Alan Branch, who has done absolutely nothing but ride the pine.

I think A.J. Hawk is a little low at 79, and Clay Mathews is a little high at 78, but other than that things look pretty solid.

Lawrence Timmons for the Steelers. His speed should be an 83 not 78. Woodley and Harrison are not faster than him.
And William Gay a 63 overall? He played better than McFadden last year.

There were a few Packers I felt they slightly underrated and a few I think they overrated (Kampman most notably)

Only one really stuck out like a sore thumb to me and that's #99 Jeremy Thompson, OLB. He was a rookie DE last year, but during the 2008 draft he was being looked at by a lot of 3-4 teams as an DE-OLB convert.

Just based on OTAs, he was given first team reps over round-1b pick Clay Matthews III and veteran linebacker Brady Poppinga and based on all accounts (I know it was OTAs) he looked better than any of the other OLBs in coverage and rushing.

And he's rated 50 overall, tied for being the worst player on our team.

You can't get upset about that

after the first week it'll be fixed if he ends up playing.

Brady Quinn is no where near a 81 OVR rating. he fucking BLOWS. Derek Anderson hasn't proven himself at all either, wow he had one semi good season. doesn't mean he's gonna be a good QB 5 years down the road

Elbert Mack (60 ovr) - a little too low if Torrie Cox is going to be rated a 66. Mack will most likely be the nickel corner this year and was impressive as the dime corner last season.


Stylez White (77 SPD) - I would lower White's speed and up his current strength rating (72 STR)


Donald Penn (78 ovr) - I think Penn deserves a higher rating than a 78 OVR. Probably the best left tackle you've never heard of.


Barrett Ruud (87 ovr) - Too high. Ruud is a tackling machine...in the first half of the season. The last two seasons he has worn down in the second half. I would give him a rating in the low 80's and lower his STR and STA ratings


Byron Leftwich (74 ovr) - Too high. Shrek sucks.


Josh Freeman (73 ovr) - Way too high. Tito is a bust and won't see the field for me in my Madden 'chise...ever.


Luke McCown (70 ovr) - Too low. Should have higher THP, ACC and SPD ratings.


Gaines Adams (78 ovr) - Too high. I would put Gaines in the low 70's or high 60's. Gaines has one move: the fish hook. The guy has not yet developed an effective arsenal of pass-rush moves. All he does is sprint upfield and often times takes himself out of a play.


Jimmy Wilkerson (64 ovr) - I would increase his speed to the low 70's and increase his strength to the mid 80's and will start him over Gaines Adams.


Jeremy Trueblood (78 ovr) - I would increase his overall to the mid 80's.

I hope his ass is cut anyway but Chris Henry ran a 4.3 40 at the combine and is a 85 speed Kenny Britt ran 4.56 and hes 87 speed

Henry lifted 26 times in the bench press and is 66 strength, Kenny Britt only did 23 reps and hes 77 strength


I'll take the higher Kenny Britt attributes, but it doesnt add up to me.
