Drafting a "honorable mention" with a lottery pick is pretty crappy. I think having to pay the 4th best receiver more then the #1, and paying him twice as much as the #2 and #3 receivers combined is pretty bad.

I just don't understand Al Davis' logic. If you love Heyward-Bey, that's great... trade your first round pick for a 4th rounder and a first rounder next year, and draft Heyward-Bey in the second. If you like Michael Mitchell, that's great... trade your third round pick for a fifth and a third next year, and draft Mitchell in the 4th. You now have two firsts and two thirds next year (5 picks in the top 100), as well as 6 more picks in 2009, and you got both the players you wanted and paid less money. Makes zero sense at all.

Is Davis still really in total control of the Raiders? You would think by now there would be some sort of checks and balance system in place. What happens in the War Room? Davis just sits there with his handwritten list of players he wants and makes the picks? What do the rest of the coaches and staff do?

No way Heyward-Bey lasts to the 2nd round.

It was reported here in Chicago that Jerry Angelo was trying to trade up in the 2nd round to draft Michael Mitchell. When the Raiders drafted Mitchell, thats when Angelo gave up and traded away his 2nd rounder. So at least one other team was planning on taking Mitchell in the 2nd round (even if that team has the most moronic GM in football).

Aside from the fact that Heyward-Bey won't be their in the 2nd and Mitchell won't be their in the 4th.

It's already said that the Bears were gonna take Mitchell in the 2nd. There is a article on NFL Network.

You can call it crappy or pretty bad but it still isn't worse than going 0-16. Also, they didn't have the greatest success with drafting WRs either.

I think the Bears had a real good draft and if you count Cutler its the best, if you don't count Cutler I would go with either Philly or Cleveland
