I've always hated Smith because hes a douchebag with a bad attitude that just happens to play for a division rival of my favorite team. You are just a retard. I now officially hate Cortland Finnegan, watching him play today was disgusting. How can one player have such disregard for the way football is supposed to be played. That dirty little fucker trying to start fights, kneeing booker in the head after the play was over and he blatently dropped a pass, diving into piles well after the whistle, constantly pushing people. There is no rule that I am aware of that demands you to like the team your closest to. I see it the other way around. I think a lot of people hate teams that they live close to because of the douchebag homerism, and the fact that they are always on TV, and some people just want to be different. Most people like the team that their dad likes I have noticed.

It was funny when I was a kid. I'd wear my Cowboys starter jacket, and rock my Cowboys sweat shirts, and shit during the week, and then I'd go over my dads house, and he would always make me change because he is an Eagles fan - Die Hard. He hated my step-dad for making me a Cowboys fan. I don't hate Philly (hard to believe) because of my dad trying to turn me into a Eagles fan until he realized it was useless. I'd always sit, and watch the game and root for Philly, because I wanted to be like my dad, and then I'd go home and hear Dallas talk all week. Then it really hit me that I'll always be a Dallas fan when Pee-Wee football came along, and my Head Coach called me Moose (Daryl Johnston) and gave me the number 48, and I was the Full Back.

I hate Pittsburgh though... living in PA is hell, like before mentioned when it comes to old homer farts who are incredibly bitter of Dallas. I live closer to Philly but, there are a lot of Pittsburgh fans around here obviously. They all are old, and arrogant (just like us Cowboys fans) and think they have the greatest franchise of all time (just like us Cowboys fans).

Another thing. Wouldn't a Homer be someone who likes their hometown team just because they live there? I mean... I totally disagree with having to like a team just because you live near them. Although I hate band wagon jumpers, I myself, I guess am one... I mean... coincidentally I'm a Cowboys fan in 1995... but whatever. I didn't hop off all those years we sucked balls.

Just to get back on point. I think if you ask a lot of people here who they hate.... they usually either love or hate the team they live nearest to, or love the team that did well when they were younger (or just started watching football).
