We all know what he said on live TV yesterday. What are your thoughts on that? Was it a classless move, was it a breath of fresh air in a time when no one wants to talk about individual accomplishments, or do you not really care?
 
I love him. To death. Because he's a Seahawk.

Now, outside of that I don't have a problem with it. If a player did that against the Seahawks I'd be pissed off for sure BUT come on, the guy didn't swear in the "Erin Andrews Interview" and he's not even close to the first player to get in an opposing players face after making a HUGE play (see Dikembe Mutombo's finger). If you don't like Richard Sherman because he's an arrogant Seattle Seahawk and you weren't cheering for the Seahawks then so be it. But don't hate him because he's loud. This is football man. It is intense and emotional. Do you really want it to be anything else?
 
Hated rivals who talk a ton of shit back and forth? Why would anyone disapprove? Boldin and Crabtree both love to jaw, Sherman and company did it back. No fucks given.

I personally would rather have a guy just take care of business and keep his mouth shut (a la Calvin) but I don't have an issue with what he said after an emotional game.

Has nothing to do with him playing for the Seahawks. Sure its entertaining when a Steve Smith or Richard Sherman go off, but its still classless. Not to mention I guarantee that he said all of this stuff to Crabtree on that play, making it pretty unnecessary to do it again in the interview.
 
I hate Sherman but I didn't have a problem with what he did. Now if he continues to do it, that's a different story.

Thought it was fine. I don't like Sherman one way or the other, but give me 100 more wrassling promos like that than 1 more with Russ Wilson robotically spouting the "aw shucks well I just want to first of all thank god" cliches...

These guys assault each other for a living, kind of disingenuous to pretend it's a "classy" profession to begin with.

And yes, it's absolutely 100% classless, that really isn't up for debate. The question is whether you as a fan think professional athletes should be held to a higher standard in a public forum. Personally, I don't watch sports for that shit, I can do without it. The NFC West has been the lowlife division for a few years now, all four teams. Nothing but jawing and fights. It gets tiresome.

I agree with everything except the part I bolded. I don't really know what you're referring to exactly. Same shit happens in every division.

I was raised to be humble and gracious in victory and defeat. Leave the trash talking on the field.

It should be noted that reports are coming out that Crabtree tried to start a fight with Sherman at Larry Fitzgerald's offseason camp and that is where all this stuff stems from. Still, I think anyone that acts like that on camera is a tool.

The Payton quote pretty much summed up my feeling on the matter. It was tame as far as language went, but Sherman made himself look like a fool and now he's got a huge target on his back. Not like he didn't have one before, but now its bigger.
