Nobody cares what he's like off the field, nobody cares where he went to school or what his GPA was. You act like a dick, people will think you're a dick. That's really all this comes down to. If he wants the attention that comes with screaming in a woman's face on national television to put himself over, then he has to take the good with the bad. It's not how a professional athlete should behave, especially with a woman. Take a look at Erin Andrews face in that clip. Would you want him behaving that way and terrifying your sister/daughter/wife/gf? Dude is reaping what he sows.

I lean on more of the side of I don't care but Warner is right this is not how professional athletes should act during post game interviews. If I was the owner of the team I would be having a word with him.

I am perfectly fine with talking trash on the field if it works for you and helps you win the game...but leave it at that. But we there are all different walks of life..if everyone acted like white paint all the time then life would be boring.

So you think he is deserving of the racist comments about him?

It was definitely emotional too. The guy just made a great play to get his team a berth in the one game every football player wants to play in.

I agree with this.

Now, if he had taken a cheap shot at Crabtree and tried to hurt him I'm all out. Or even if he had cussed him or his family out up and down the river on tv I would've taken exception to that. But Sherman walked the line and kept it on the entertainment side of the game. Was it extremely different and not by the book? Absolutely. It was shocking! But this is the NFL where big boys, with big egos and huge emotions are getting paid to keep all of us engaged and entertained. And Richard Sherman and Michael Crabtree are doing that.

Wait, are people who are not mad at Sherman for his deal mad at Crabtree for pushing Sherman in the face?? If so that's hypcritical. I loved them both. Bring it on. It makes them play twice as hard against each other and that's what I want to watch.

I recall Marshawn Lynch having a much bigger play than this a few years back, and it seemed like he was able to handle it with some dignity.

Because not everyone is wired the same. You know that from interacting with humans on a day to day basis I assume.

Grown ups know how to control them, and know how to behave in situations that dictate a modicum of decorum.

I can't believe people are letting him hide behind "emotions" anyway, when it's clear what he did was a manufactured stunt for attention. If not(which I don't buy for one second but i'll play along), he needs to avoid post game interviews when he's heated & can not behave like an adult. Let a grown up talk to Erin Andrews, or wait until your adrenaline wears off.

Sherman has a long track record of boorish behavior. I addressed letting him off the hook for being "emotional" in my previous post. Grown ups understand time & place. He was out of line and looked like a complete idiot.
