I honestly don't really care what he says. I like football for the football and thats it. All the extra stuff I've really grown to be apathetic towards.

I heard there was some talk about Mike Shanahan's and RG3's relationship in the preseason about he wanted to play but Mike wouldn't let him and that somehow affected their relationship. I've grown to not care about anything but the actual football. A lot of these footballs shows on NFLN or ESPN use up their time talking about these things and I really couldn't care less. Or the irrelevant topics that would've never even crossed my mind without watching the shows. Things that don't matter in the grand scheme of things. I can't even think of an example at the moment. He can say what he wants and it means nothing to me. All I care is that he keeps shutting down receivers.

That's a little different from Sherman jawing about Crabtree. That's a one-on-one matchup during a game. RGIII and Shanahan is a coach/player relationship, which could affect playing time, cohesion between the two and other coaches/players, etc. I care a whole lot more about something like that, which affects the team, as opposed to trash talk back and forth between individuals.

Not everyone can be a humble sweetypie. Guy got to be where he is because he works his butt off. Every account on him is how much he studies film and makes it a point to say that athletically he nothing special hes working to get where he is. As I said here or perhaps elsewhere when you reach a certain level of success you can say it and express it. Maybe hes guilty of being a sore winner. People hate that. They hate any show of confidence and everything is cocky/brash/conceited. Meh when you're at the top go ahead and gloat. So long as you are a gracious and humble loser when dethroned I dont have an issue. Sherman seems smart enough to take what he dishes. This league has a long history of guys trying to break fingers , punch groins , spitting on faces etc. People get worked up over a post game interview ? lulz.

But maybe its an age or cultural thing ?
I love guys like Nick and Nate Diaz , I thought Brocks spit in the camera post fight was awesome , and Chael interviews make me giggle. Certain guys are really unique in how they get under peoples skin. Maybe it all looks the same to some..but to me Shermans unique and Im ok with it.

You might be right but to me it seems like all speculation anyways because none of us are actually in the locker room. I get ALL of my news from Rotoworld and they consistently talk about how good players are and what kind of players they are. Haven't paid attention to ProFootballFocus in awhile but those two sites and that sort of thing is what gets me going. I used to watch NFLN every single day and then I just got bored of it. I especially hate hearing some of these Ex-NFL players talk because some of them really do seem like they are clueless about what they are talking about. The coaches they have on seem to be much much better. But it does make me feel like I'm wasting endless hours hearing/watching about that garbage. Thats my personal feelings towards all of it.

That was the best stuff they've ever shown on the network, including the shitty package of Thursday night games. But that's clearly something most fans aren't going to it through. This was in the days when I would DVR the 30 minute rewinds and watch every game, so combined with the coaches, you could realistically have a full league view every week.

Shortcuts and coach pressers were very informative. I clung to the coaches show on NFLN for awhile. But stopped all of the above including my religious reading of pro football weekly . There scouting and insider news was second to none. I learned a shit ton about players tendencies and reputations there. But fantasy football has pushed a lot of aspects out of the window as people just want to know who's healthy who' starting and who's gonna score the points.

I don't know about you, but I don't watch sports for that nonsense. I've posted about it before this year, but I find NFC West games hard to watch with all of the trash talk & fighting that goes on. Just play football. Guys like Sherman bring a very unappealing element to the game. And if you don't think i'm being consistent, you haven't seen me rant about the Rams and the constant jawing & fights they get into every week. It's trash.

I think each team kind of bought in too much to the "NFC West is the GOAT division ever!!!1111oneoneone" media spin for 6 months and started to be overly macho and tough. And I agree with you that sometimes it's just over the top and overkill.

He is the exception to this rule. Falcons fans despised him too, because in addition to being an arrogant prick he was also awful at his job.

You can tolerate a guy acting brash as long as he's good. Hall wasn't, he was just a jackass.
