Which PS2 NCAA to go with?

Okay, I need an NCAA fix right now, and a 2 minute quarters demo of a piece of shit game isn't filling that fix, so I'm breaking out my PS2 and I can't decide which game to play.

I am down to 06 and 07, I don't want to play 04 because the player models are so outdated, along with everything else, and besides that 06 and 07 remain the two games I had the most fun with.

Any advice?

I hated 06 so much, I played tha game for a couple weeks. I couldnr deal with it.

07 maybe. I can't really remember the feel of those two at the moment, but 08 was pretty good IMO.

Damn...this threads got me wanting to start a NCAA 04 (best football game EA Sports ever made by the way) Dynasty since I saved the memory card with the named rosters.

Well, I've decided to go with '07 because that was the most fun I've ever had with an NCAA game.

Now comes trying to decide between Ohio State and a created team... hmm, decisions, decisions, decisions.

Since '04 is out of the question (and why should it be aside from the legions of gamers who swear by it and would take a shot in the mouth from Peter North to play it again)...

I'd say look for '07.

I think it was the last of the PS2 copies to still retain some semblance of a creative menu, the gameplay was great for when friends were over (turn OFF HFA though...), and you could get into the Dynasty Mode as well without worry of having to practically give a recruit an H.J. just to sign him.

NCAA 04. Player models were a lot better, they weren't exactly realistic - but believe it or not, it affected the game play.

I'm reporting on my NCAA 04 dynasty. Currently in 2010 season, so all players are now CPU Generated.

Out of the two you mentioned I'd say '07. I played the hell out of that game.

However I strongly recommend you get '09 for the PS2 instead. Medical redshirts and the best gameplay of the series IMO.

'06 is great, but it has an overpowered run game and a somewhat-outdated postseason (national championship is one of the particular BCS bowls), but it is hella fun. '07 is cool, but you can't hurdle and there are no gang tackles. I think you should buy them both. You can get '06 for less than $5 and '07 for around $5.

That probably wasn't very helpful, but... if I had to pick one I'd go with '07 because it's easier to find.

07 is my favorite of all-time. I consider 03 and 04 to be a bit too lacking in features despite their awesome gameplay. Stuff like the roster limit and the bare bones recruiting is what detracts from 03 and 04. 05 had gay defensive physics. 06 was also awesome, but I just loved the hell out of 07. Most playable Heisman mode of any NCAA too.

Im tempted to get an ncaa game now, i bought 06 in june and did a fair amount of rosters but traded it in 2 weeks ago. I regret that decision
