Dont feel like looking it up but they Dallas Cowboys have consistently for about 30 years now held to that label and for good reason.
They have the largest fan base , they get the highest ratings , they have records for on the road sell outs , they have records for being the only sellout for some teams on there schedule , theyre always at or near the top in merchandising , They have 5 SB trophies and have played in 8. Theyre always 1 or 2 most valuable franchises in football always near or at the top as most valuable in sports.

No other team has that resume. Deal with it. Over the course of 3 decades win or lose theyve been able to hold true to the above.

Green Bay deserves the title but they don't want it. They just want to keep being the Green Bay Packers, which if you ask me, that's the only title they will ever have. Difference between the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots is that, well, the Green Bay Packers have always been very well known whereas the Patriots only started to grow a fanbase sometime in the 90's and then blew up when Tommy Boy won them a Super Bowl.

The Patsies and the Cardinals are very similiar ... in that nobody gave two shits about them until very recently.

The Steelers have always been a respectable team. They earned their respect. It wasn't just given to them. They went out and earned it. SteelJake is about the only classless Steelers fan I've ever known. They deserve the title and rightfully so, but give up the fight already. W2BTD is correct though. The Cowboys have always been "America's Team. If my understanding stands correct, we stole the nickname from the Steelers before they ran with it. Our marketing department played it smart and it stuck ever since. Grow the fuck up and move on.

The Green Bay Packers will always be known as the Green Bay Packers.

The Bears used to be IMO up until the 70's and the suckfest of a decade they had.

Honestly IMO year in and year out the Bears have a pretty damn strong country wide fan base. I'm not saying they are America's Team but they are up there for sure. I'd argue perhaps as high #2.
