Would you want Michael Vick On Your Team?

On the Giants? No, because I don't know what they would do with him.The Giants don't mess with the Wildcat, I don't think Vick can be a a good enough receiver, and Eli is our quarterback.

If I were a team like the Niners, Dolphins, Bucs, Vikings, or Broncos who could use them, I take Vick with caution. Oh, trust me, I would shake his hand and smile with a wide grin on my face and send the tape of the press conference right to PETA. However, is he going to work hard and not get by and is he going to be disrespectful to the fans? That's my caution with Michael Vick.

That's your own opinion. Vick has a career 53.8 passing percentage. A 75.7 career QB rating, and also led his team to a NFC Championship game. The guy wasn't the best passer in the league, but to say he wasn't a good QB is just speaking out of your ass. The guy was an NFL QB and got the job done. Plus 2006 was his best year as a passer, so you could see he was coming into his own. He had a cannon for an arm, not very good accuarcy, but no, he didn't "just run".
I'm not a huge Michael Vick fan, and would I welcome him on the Jaguars? No. But that is because my team is starting to base them selves off of good character guys and at this point don't need a huge media circus in that locker room all summer when they are trying to get back to being a successful ball club. Plus I am a believer in David Garrard and believe if he is given time in the pocket that he can be a good QB in this league.
Now if I am a team who is desperate for QB help and need a spark plug on the offensive side of the ball, then yes I would take a shot at Mike Vick. I personally think he would look good in the Vikings offense. With having such a successful run game like he had in Atlanta, I think Mike would come right in and add another dynamic element to that offense. Plus Mike and Percy Harvin in the Wildcat formation could be one of the most dangerous things in football. When guys like Ray Lewis, Leonard Little and Pacman Jones are all given second chances but say Mike Vick shouldn't have one are just pathetic. I hate people who value animals lives or humans, it has never made sense to me and never will. It's ok to murder another human being, but it's the biggest crime in the world if a man funds dog fights. Please.

I thought the whole point of the Wildcat formation was to give an extra blocker for the RB by taking the QB off the field. What value would Vick add to the Wildcat? He got most of his yards off of open field scrambles, not Tim Tebow-like thrusts into the line of scrimmage. Mike Vick is a great runner...for a QB. He is not a RB. I'd rather have someone like Michael Robinson of San Fran in the Wildcat than Vick.

M-Rob FTW!!! He'd be great in a Wildcat type offense.

I'm still unsure if I'd take Vick. Him and Chris Johnson on the field would deadly speed-wise, but we went through the whole Pac-Man media circus already and I wouldn't want to go through something like that again.
 
The NFL is the league with the most thugs, and gets away with it. You yea, some good are coming in, but there will be just as many who will do dumb shit. Always!
 
I'd want him on Arizona, two reasons, he will maybe light a fire under matt leinart to make him try a little more or develop, and he won't be on another team to try and beat us...

It's actually called the "Suggs Formation", but it's a play off of the Wildcat. Trust me, any team that signs him will find a way to make it work for him.

It obviously depends on your team's personnel, but I would take Vick.

He got treated more harshly than guys who have killed human beings, he has never been seen as a negative influence in the locker room ever and can bring a unique talent on the field.

More than anything, he will never been more motivated than he is now. He has seen how life is on the other side and will never want to go back. You can be sure he's gonna work his ass off for everything now, because he knows it can all be taken away in a second.

And this idea of Vick just running a wildcat. Ridiculous. Before he was thrown in jail, he was a top 10 quarterback in the league with special abilities that no other QB could touch.

He's only gonna be 29 this year, assuming he's re-instated and 30 next year (when I think it's more likely). He's not using a walker yet.

I will never condone what he did with the dogs ever, but it's over. He paid his price, the dogs (save for two that were euthanized) have all recovered.

Stallworth and Leonard Little's victims will never recover.

It's actually called the "Suggs Formation", but it's a play off of the Wildcat. Trust me, any team that signs him will find a way to make it work for him.

I agree that a team would design runs for Vick, but its not a Wildcat when you have the QB taking the snap. Its simply having the QB run.
