I have both systems.
PS3
Pros: Quiet, built-in wireless,
blu-ray player,
great DVD upscaler,
solid collection of exclusives, good downloadable games,
PSN Network is free, no points ... you use actually use cash to pay for stuff you want.
The ability to use USB flash drives and portable hard drives.
Cons: Not crazy about the controller, I have the original, it's cheap, light plastic.
Playstation Network not as good as Xbox Live.
360
Pros: All EA Sports games look and play better on the 360
better selection of games, better selection of classic arcade games,
Xbox Live superior service,
better controller IMO.
Cons: Unreliable machine (you're sure to get RROD at least once in your gaming life),
loud as hell if you don't have a huge hard drive to install all your games (I have the 20 gig HD),
proprietaryy madness (you can't use USB drives for storage, you have to buy Microsoft's hard drives which are brutally expensive, etc...).
No blu-ray player and the DVD player isn't as good as the ps3's.
MS Points annoying. I don't want to pay for future purchases. If I'm paying $5.99 for a Tiger Woods add-on course, let me pay $5.99. I don't want to spend $7.50 for 800 MS Points.
You have to pay for a wireless adapter.
