When Blu-Ray gets cheaper or does something that makes a Dual-Layer DVD's a nuisance, it'll be a Pro; for now, it's just a different format used for games. I'm aware that a dual layer Blu-Ray can withhold about 50-60 gigs, and a DL DVD holds about 8.5 tops, but still, there isn't enough difference to label it a PRO.
dumb, DVDs are slowly becoming old technology and I guarantee by 2012 some major movies will only be out on Blu Ray.
A Blu Ray player is regularly around $200 bucks for an average one which if you add that to the money that an XBOX costs is a lot compared to just getting a ps3
Will give you "wireless included, not extra", although I'm fairly confident that, by now, the Wireless controller is the norm in every 360 package available.
batteries still cost money.
No batteries, you got me. Although there is a charge n' play kit for 360.
costs money as well
Cross-Platform patch release might be a wash. MW2 might have gone to the ps3 first, But i'm pretty sure that NBA 2k10 had a huge patch for 360 a couple weeks before PS3 saw it.
i lul'd hard.
MW2 > NBA 2K10 in terms of the amount of people that give a fuck, MW2's community dwarfs 2K10's in all facets
Just for you, buddy, I'll redo my pros and cons.
Xbox 360
Pros:
Cheaper. (Cheapest 360: 200$; Cheapest PS3: 300$)
but for that cheaper one you have to buy a hard drive which costs an average of $100 unless you want to use a shit 254 mg one
Bigger install base.
Good Exclusives (Mass Effect, Fable, Forza, Gears of War, Halo, Episodes from Liberty City)
Gran Turismo > Forza, Killzone > GOW, Uncharted > Halo, Demon's Souls > Mass Effect, MGS4 > Fable, who the fuck cares about EFLC
Xbox Live (Party, Cross-Game Chat, Dedicated Servers, Facebook[Xbox allows you to update from the console; PS3 just spams your facebook wall with trophies you've earned], Last.FM, Twitter)
we have facebook and servers arent bad enough to justify spendiong the 60 bucks you guys do in a year
Xbox Live Arcade brings across great games as Soul Calibur, Geometry Wars, The Dishwasher, Sonic The Hedgehog)
that no one buys lulz
Cons:
Unreliable.
Loud.
Paying for Xbox Live.
Uses batteries for controller.
Playstation 3:
Pros:
Quieter System.
More Reliable.
Free Playstation Network.
Good Exclusives (Uncharted, Demon Souls, Killzone, Gran Turismo 5, Heavenly Sword, God of War)
Great PSN Games support (PS1 games like MGS, Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil)
Don't have to charge controller.
Cons:
PSN just isn't as good as Xbox Live, or as interactive.
Losing exclusives to Microsoft.
so how is "Losing exclusives to Sony" not a con for XBOX?
Really, there isn't much bad to go with either. Once again, if you have more friends on either one, it's probably best you go with that one.
Are you happy, MMMMbeeer?
I have both consoles and I use my PS3 more.
