I love how Peterson is the "Injury Proned" running back. Yet Chris Johnson got injured and missed most of the most important game of the season last year against the Ravens in the playoffs.

Lendale White was forced to carry the payload...

So before you call AP "injury proned" you may want to examine the facts, as CJ has missed nearly the same amount of time in the pros.

I choose the running back that plays through his injury in the games that mean the most, not the guy who sits on the sidelines watching his back up give away the game.

Peterson gets my vote.

Exactly. So far in his career I've only seen Peterson get run down once from behind when in the open field and that was Philip Buchanon this season.

He has 1200 yards and 14 TDs through 13 games, I'll take that as a "down" year.

LOL I've seen him get caught from behind at least 3 times this season, and I've only seen like 2 Vikings games.

He's an amazing back, but you can get an angle and catch him. There's no angles for the Prawn.

When starting a team from scratch youth becomes a key factor especially at RB.
AD/CJ are at or reaching there peak. Theres still upside.

Jackson is at his peakand has been for a few years.Hes as good as hes going to get.

Id wager you get more productivity the next 5 years out of the given choices than Jackson.

The good thing is all 3 have been able to put up stellar seasons with shitty QBs so a "from scratch" argument is even ground.

I don't really care about the injury report, because I feel they will both even out eventually. But CJ secures the ball better, is more elusive and one of the fastest players in the league. Guys like him and D.Jackson are changing this league.

Also, my one criticism of running backs is that when they get to the edge and have one on one against a defender (especially against corners, that's when it pisses me off the most), they get scared and try to get out of bounds and get what yardage they're being allowed. Sometimes, it's smart to do that, but AP just goes through the defender when he needs to and he gets so much more yardage out of it because of it.

CJ has 495 more yards on twenty more carries. He doesn't need to go through people, because he goes past them, he gets around them. I don't think he'll be breaking the rushing record this year, and he might have a little hangover next year, but that doesn't seem like a solid debate to me.

I like power backs. I like Steven Jackson, I liked Brandon Jacobs, but AD fumbles entirely too much. Granted, Steven's had his fumble problems, too, but no one's calling him the best back in the league right now...

Not to say AD absolutely isn't, but I think he's second best... to CJ.

Granted. But until he's taught, he's not the best. Not while CJ's producing...
