Disagree. With possession you have 0% chance of winning. If they score and give you 4 minutes down 11pts, your chance of winning increases from 0%.

Correct if I'm reading incorrectly but it seems you're saying if I punt it away I won't get it back and therefore have no chance of winning. I don't know what the percentage is, but I'm sure it's a lot higher than 0 that you'll at least get it back with 5 minutes on the clock and all 3 TOs. With that knowledge I'd rather take my chances getting it back down 1 score with 1 or 2 minutes left than down 2 scores with 4 to play. And depending on how my opponent plays it I could get the ball with more than 2 minutes on the clock because there is no guarantee they won't still put it in the air trying to get that TD or at least get a first down or two to flip field position because the last thing they want to do is run it three times and punt it back to me, giving me pretty good field position.
