I'd rather play a game that was delayed and released as a polished product than one rushed to meet a deadline and has tons of problems TBH. More games should take this approach.

I agree, I guess I'm more annoyed with the fact that they put out these deadlines that they obviously aren't going to meet. I mean a May 22 release and they thought they could get this out fall of 2010? I agree though with wanting a polished game, absolutely.

Wasn't the first GRAW delayed like 100 times too? I thought I remember that game announced as a 360 launch title and it didn't come out until much later.

I was looking at early 2012 game releases and knew Ghost Recon would get delayed when I looked at March 6th.

Mass Effect 3 AND Max Payne 3? Yeah, no way they were going to destroy their launch like that.

UbiSoft can get fucked for doing that very thing to the new Rayman.

I've seen bad launches but that game deserved better than the discount bin.

                My gaming backlog:

                Multiplayer matches on Halo: Anniversary

                Arkham City

                The Old Republic

                Command and Conquer 4

Battlefield 3 on PC and 360 campaign

                Brink

                Fallout: New Vegas

                DarkStarOne: Broken Alliance
Just finished DarkStar One. A good way to spend $10 for sure, but it was a lot like Alpha Protocol- very repetitive, very frustrating but I enjoyed the story and experience.

I suck as a keyboard and mouse player, so I have to sit down and do more work on my PC controller to map out controls for BF3 to make it similar to the 360. I'll probably start on Arkham City and fill in with some BF3.

There are ways to hook up your PS3 controller/360 controller and use it on your PC.

Just out of curiosity, did you play the 360 or PS3 version? I picked up the 360 version because I've been reading that the PS3 version doesn't support surround sound or something crazy, but it does support 1080p and the 360 version doesn't. I would rather have the PS3 version for the controller but if the sound is jacked I'll stick with 360.

Are you playing on an HD tv? I played the game within the past year I believe and remember it still looking pretty good for a 5+ year old game. And even if my memory is foggy, you need to remember IT'S A FIVE PLUS YEAR OLD GAME.

I haven't played Rayman yet but everything I've heard points to it being amazing. The fact that they released it when they did is just baffling. I've read that it sold like 50K in it's first month. So sad.

I played it on 360 because I personally like the analog stick better on that, and the game is very analog stick intensive. I haven't played the PS3 version (although I'm starting to talk myself into picking it up for that too because I loved it so much), but as far as the 360 it looked great and sounded great. For the graphical style that it has, I don't know if 1080p would even make that much of a difference, but who knows? I'd say if there is a question I'd go with the sounding better because I could see how fucked up sound would lower the experience, while I'm not sure 1080p would heighten it. Although if you're more comfortable with the PS3 controller, it's a taxing enough game I'd go with the controller you're more comfortable with.

So yeah...I don't know how helpful that was, but there you go.

It's funny because most people on other boards say the complete opposite. They say that they prefer the PS3 controller for platformers (amongst other things) and also that surround sound in a platformer isn't a big deal. They also add that because the looks of the game are such a big deal the 1080p thing does make a difference.

But I love audio so I'll probably just stick with the 360 version. I would like to pad my trophy collection more than my gamer score though. Oh well.

If you like the game that much you should pick up the PS3 version at TRU while it's $20. Great deal.

I saw that TRU deal, and I was thinking about it. If the game needed use of the dpad I would have probably gone for the PS3 controller, but you really only need the joystick and I just never have been able to adjust to the PS sticks.

Yeah, maybe that's what people are thinking. I can't see using the D-pad either so it seems like a moot point.
