Just beat AC: Brotherhood. Very fun game. The story wasn't quite as good as it was in AC2, however, the side stuff in this one was a lot more fun imo. And yet again, another weird ending. Trying to resist jumping straight into Revelations as I want to give some love to some other games. Probably Alan Wake or Ghost Recon.Comment

I played some more Metro 2033, and it seems like a polished, linear S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game set in Moscow. They even use the term Stalkers for the Rangers who went to the surface to scavenge.
EDIT: After looking a bit, it seems like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series takes a lot from the Metro 2033 book that came out in 2005.Comment

Play it straight through. The endings are most certainly strange, but it's all getting tied up with ACIII. It's certainly going to be an interesting finish, and where they take the franchise from there. Though I have a feeling we could have a ME3-type outrage if this series ends like that.
There is still a lot of promise for this series, but I don't think that I'm alone when I say that I hope they actually have an overarching story narrative. Cause sometimes I'm not sure that they do.
But man does AC3 look and play pretty...Comment

I feel like "I hope" should be in there somewhere.

A franchise that is this big and mutli-platform is not going to die. They will definitely have something in store after ACIII, whether it involves Desmond or not. Ubisoft also has over 300 people that have worked on the AC games the past four years, so I'm sure another game is already in development. You just don't break up that kind of team with the franchise they have going.Comment

That wasn't entirely my point, but I do understand what you mean. My point was more in terms of the Desmond narrative. They are building to something and I hope that they end it with this game, because otherwise it will become unwieldy I think. I don't expect the franchise to die by any means, it's the best new IP of this generation outside of Gears IMO. I just want them to finish the fucking initial story and then bleed it dry.Comment

Teaser Video of Left 4 Dead, Payday Crossover
Valve and Payday: The Heist developer Overkill team up to show the origins of Left 4 Dead.
A teaser trailer popped up on the official Payday: The Heist YouTube channel showing off a collaboration between Valve and developer Overkill. Titled No Mercy, the in-development content will allegedly tell the story of how Left 4 Dead's zombie outbreak began. "Have you ever wondered how the Left 4 Dead series began? It started with a heist!" says the YouTube video description.
From the looks of things, it involves a group of armed thieves who assault Mercy Hospital in search of a particular patient's blood. Naturally, the search is not a peaceful one.
Released on the 15th of June 2012, this is a brief teaser trailer for Overkill Software's PAYDAY: No Mercy, a DLC release for their 2011 co-op shooter "PAYDAY: The Heist". Developed in conjunction with Valve, this new heist level takes place in Left 4 Dead's Mercy Hospital, and gives fans new insight into the causes of the Green Flu outbreak.

I'm still enjoying Metro 2033. I've been playing more stealth, and all my weapons are silenced. The Hellsing is also an amazing weapon as I won't have to worry much about ammo conservation since I can just pluck the arrows back off the dead bodies.Comment

I didn't realize how many people from Mad Men are in L.A. Noire other than Cosgrove (obviously). Campbell, Kinsey, Crane, Jimmy Barrett, Allison, Betty's psychiatrist, Peggy's mom, and Draper's dad are all in it.Comment
