Going to avoid some sports games this year to get more Arcade games, this forum has inspired me.

It's kinda odd because I've been out of the retail side of computers now for almost 2 years and I felt completely lost yestarday trying to price out things. I see the 2nd generation i7's are out but the motherboards arn't fully available everywhere yet. I have no clue about the difference between chipsets and everything anymore.
As for your list I see you have BC2 there. If your looking to pound out some games that will take around 10-15 hours to beat then BC2 and the FEARS will be a good start. Super meat boy can go die in a fire. It honestly enrages me and I'll never play it again.

Haven't games been the same graphically for the past 4-5 years now. Why would you need a 2012 high powered computer to run them?Comment
-
And high powered computer? The thing is only going to cost me maybe 1200 bucks lol.

I dont trust it. I mean if you built the computer for $1200 in March of 2011 when would you need to upgrade again in your opinion?Comment

I know they only cost like 1000-1500 (I was saying a year 2012 CPU). I dont know about the whole upgrading thing every fucking 2 years or whatever just seems fishy to me. I mean Nvidia coming out with new cards every year. People running dual cards ect ect. Seems like overkill.

The current comp I am on now is from March 2007, the one before that was a March 2003. The video card in this machine is my second one but it was replaced for free after I killed the first one thanks to not taking care of it.
I try and get 4 years out of my PC. This current one has only had a power supply replaced in it and I had a hard drive die out on me a couple years ago but thats about it.
I spent I think $1400 on this 4 years ago and have only had to put in maybe $150 into it over that time. The whole myth about having to stay upgrade all the time and all that bs still makes me laugh.

"myth" or not, you spent $1400 to upgrade four years ago and now you're looking to spend another $1200? So that's $2600 in what would normally be ONE console life cycle?!? That's fucking insane. And you wonder why I play on a console? You could buy four 360's, four PS3's and a Wii for that.

Second of all its a fucking computer not a gaming console. I use it for maybe 20% gaming while the rest of it is work and pron. I do love how people are gasping at a $1400 computer. You're the same dicks that probably whine when your $400 piece of shit dell "gets slow". Let me guess you all drive Kia's or some other shit car because buying anything else would just be insane. I know jms drives an audi. Whats the point of that your just driving at the same speed as everyone else right?
Also let me know how much your last TV cost? You're kinda forgetting about that part of the equation. Kinda funny to see people like twigg and jms balk at me for spending a grand and a half on something when jms buys useless shit like ipads and twigg has every console (and every game I think) and god knows how much his home theater equipment cost when all I have is a 360 I won for free and a 3 year old 32" tv and thats it.
Different strokes for different folks people.
