Games I am playing:

Started Assassins Creed 2.....I want to beat this and brotherhood before the last one drops. I liked the first one but got burnt out on the repetitiveness of its. 2 seems way better so far.

Age Of Empires Online......fun and addicting game

NCAA Football 12......always playing

Dead Nation....trying to beat with KG but fuck it is kind of hard!

Both AC2 and Brotherhood are great games......so much better than the first, which I liked but could only deal with it in small doses. I dropped everything and played those two games when they came out.

Funny story, but it's even funnier considering the amount of shitty games coming out of Japan these days. The majority of the best Japanese devs consistently praise Western creativity compared to their Japanese counterparts. It's why you've seen guys like Suda 51 and Kojima collaborating with Western devs.

Yup. In the 80's and 90's the Japanese could do no wrong in gaming. Now they put out mostly garbage and are trying to find any morsel of insight they can from the West. It's funny how the shoe is on the other foot now.

Right now you can only get this bad boy by winning a contest at PAX. But I would jizz all over my shorts if they made it available for sale on release day along with the game for a reasonable price.

I started playing Vanquish. The gameplay is pretty fun but everything else is complete ass so I don't see myself finishing. I'm surprised it got such good reviews.

DLed peeled through most of the demos out for PSN last night and this morning...

-SF3: Third Strike Online Edition = It's the shit but you might want to get a fight stick

-Hamilton's Great Adventure = Phone Game port spruced up; collect jewels and a key with a man and a bird

-Comix Zone (for PS+ right now) = Genesis beat'em up appealing to 90s sensibilities

-Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine = Gears with a new paint job and no cover system

-Bodycount = Generic shooter #63227

I just played it and I definitely agree, but it's a damn solid Gears clone. It literally plays and looks exactly like Gears. Everything from reload being mapped to the RB button to the dive maneuver the character does when you press A. But the game looks so good and the melee combat is awesome. The weapons are really cool too.

Huge surprise I know, but I'm definitely going to buy it at some point.

Depending on the game length and the variation of missions (I know it's basically kill anything that's green and in front of you), I could see it going at $30 with DLC coming later.

I would definitely pay $30 for it so when it hits that price I'll scoop it up. I don't see a lot of hype around it so that will probably happen sooner rather than later.

Put in some time on Dead Nation with Atlas.

Playing it on 'Normal' and the game's gotten to the point where it's actively telling both of us that we're going to die cold, wet and alone... alone because either one of us had died earlier in the level.

The last two levels are "Fuck You, Die Already" Hard.
