I started up Heavy Rain again after cleaning out some HD space.

I can see how it was ground-breaking when it first came out but shit's dog ugly now.

I'd assume it's because of the Uncanny Valley thing.

Still, it's fun enough to shake a controller to brush my teeth and get yelled at for not finding the plates for lunch in time

I played some DayZ on the new Takistan map. I happened to meet a friendly player early on, and while we were looting a village, we heard a shotgun ring out. We ran to the closest building for cover, and while my partner was looting upstairs, he was shot by the bandit with a shotgun. Since I only had a revolver and I didn't feel that I would match up very well in a confined space with a shotgun, I ran out of the building toward a patch of trees, and the bandit started firing at me with his pistol. Luckily, he couldn't shoot for shit, and I was able to make it to cover with only one of his shots grazing me. Meanwhile, the guy I was with is telling me to get revenge while the bandit was bragging about killing him in the side chat.

So, I circled around town and waited for the bandit to loot my partner's body on the balcony. I didn't have to wait long. As soon as he got there, another player entered the village, and the bandit stood tall and started shooting at him. I started firing at him with my revolver, and in a panic, he fell off the side of the building. I cautiously made my way to a vantage point and emptied the remaining rounds in the cylinder until I saw that he died. Not knowing whether the new arrival in town was friendly, I decided to leave the town and let my partner know that justice had been dealt.

Later, I was looting another town, and a hacker teleported right in front of me. Startled, I shot him with my Lee Enfield (which obviously did nothing), and he started dancing. After about a minute of dancing, he spawned a box a few meters away from me and teleported away. I waited a minute to make sure the coast was clear before I checked to see what he left behind. The box was full of hacked in weapons (basically any gun variant in the ARMA II assets). Not long after, an admin banned someone for hacking and restarted the server.

After the restart, I looted another town and found an ALICE pack. I then ran to a hill and quit the game for the day.
