Many don't want to believe the new systems will be $$$ but I can easily see the top of the line ones....500gb costing $400-$500. They would add a year of PS+ and maybe a choice of games (from select titles) to make us believe we are getting a deal.

I like the slim version of the PS3 more than the new style....both of mine are slim.

The problem is that Sony keeps pushing bundles for the new PS3 model instead of just putting one out with a controller and a 120 GB or 250 GB HDD for $200.

I just picked up the new model with Uncharted 3, really love how small the thing is and as sweet as it is to have the disc drive "suck in" the disc I think this way will have less issues. But then again PS4 will be out soon .

And I agree here there should be a PS3 that's $200, like a barebones 360 arcade model.

I have a hard time believing the new system will only be $100 more than the 6 year old one. I was thinking 2 skus of $399 and $499....but now seeing them trying to get $300 for an old ass system has me worried.

I mean they can't possibly think a $499 and $599 price points can work in this day and economy?

My personal guess is that it will be $400, $450 max. They are now the leading console seller between them and the 360 so they are still trying to bleed as much as they can from the PS3 since the haven't announced the PS4 yet.
