Where are you? I liked that game for maybe the first half? Then it got a little too trial and error for me. Still got through it, just didn't enjoy the last half to third or so.
Unrelated, listening to this weeks Bombcast, and man, Vinny and Jeff are as on point as ever.Comment

12 GB Flash Based PS3 for $199....is this old news?
In September of last year, Sony threw in an interesting nugget when it shipped the third-generation PS3: there'd be a unique, more affordable 12GB flash-based unit exclusively for Europe and Hong Kong. Sure, it doesn't do much good for those who boast huge game libraries or prefer to store odds and ends locally, but Sony clearly determined that there'd be a real market for such a product. Sony Computer Entertainment America VP of marketing, handhelds and home consoles John Koller sat down with us following the launches, and made a point to tell us the following: "The smaller Flash drive isn't coming to North America, and a lot of that reason is the digital consumer. We really want to make sure, out of the box, that there is an option for them to be able to download that content. That is really critical for us, very very important." 180s happen quite frequently in the technology world, and it seems that we're peering at another here. Canada's own Future Shop has the 12GB PS3 listed right now as "In Stock" for $199.99, and a number of stock trackers are confirming that units are trickling into brick and mortar locations across various provinces. This all jibes nicely with a recent PlayStation Lifestyle rumor that suggests the system is coming to both Canada and the United States on August 18th, leaving us to assume that this particular store simply managed to get a jump on the competition. All that said, you can get a new 500GB PS3 with Grand Theft Auto V for just $70 more (or another, more sizable unit for even less on the secondhand market) -- but hey, options! Update: We've received an image (shown after the break) of the 12GB PlayStation 3 in a Kmart stockroom here in the United States. The "do not sell until" date is predictably labeled as August 18th, which means that Yanks should be able to get their hands on one of these without an impromptu road trip up north in just a few days. [Thanks, Jean-Philippe]Comment

For you Forza Racers....
I entered in Monday nite racing over at Realistic Racing. Here is my fugly car.
Merc by jms493, on Flickr
We did a 39 lapper on Hockenhiem Short. I qualified 8/12 with a 1:09 and change. The poll was taken with a 1:07.144. I figured you guys would get a chuckle out of this. On lap like 35/36 I was lapped by the top 3 racers...lulz. One of them being the famous Hellisan. Those fuckers are fast. FYI I messed up once...that being having all 4 tires on the grass once.
So however many times you guys cursed me out...dont worry I get my ass handed to me in this league. I passed the 7th place car on the last lap after tailgating him for like 10 laps.Comment

So, another giveaway here from your friendly neighborhood douchebag Sethmode. I picked up the Humble Indie Bundle and I have Steam or Origin codes (depending on your choosing) for the following games I don't care to really have another go with on PC:
Crysis 2 Maximum, Dead Space and Mirror's Edge. First PM, first serve...try not to be a dick and take them all if you aren't interested in them.
I can't remember what people think about Medal of Honor here. Is it worth a play through? Not unlike JMS, I value my game playing time at this point, and I basically did this bundle to get a PC Burnout Paradise, Battlefield 3 and Dead Space 3, so I could chuck MoH in the mix too if it's not really worth playing through (I'm leaning towards not playing it).Comment

It wasn't too bad. I thought it was better than the second one. If you have the urge to play a modern military shooter campaign, it's not your worst option. Is it memorable like say Spec Ops, GR: Advanced Warfighter or CoD4: MW, no. I'd hit you up for Mirror's Edge, but I think I'm just going to get the bundle myself anyways.
I'm very curious how the Dead Space 3 PC port is.
I'll just go ahead and say that MoH is on the table to. It sounds fine, but I have such a backlog at this point, fine isn't really going to cut it (that and I think I burned out on SP for military shooters on CoD4:MW:2).Comment

Did you get a new PC? Or will they all run for you, for the most part?

I know you're on Steam now, so keep an eye there too. I bought Arkham Asylum for under 2 bucks when I knew it wouldn't work. Enjoying it now in all of it's PC splendor (and double the cheevo points!)Comment

I was trying to remember when it was...I feel like it's shortly after you meet the Rat King?
It's a shame, because the game isn't bad, but the first third feels like a really great Flashback style/Prince of Persia style zombie game.Comment

BIT.TRIP... Runner 2 is letting me know how hard it is to jump, float and duck at exactly the right time, as needed.Comment
