I was playing Canada and one of their guys got a red card and their team started complaining and someone else got a yellow. Haven't seen that before.

I've seen that a few times. Waiting for someone who's already on a yellow to get one.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

I bitched about the refs and got suspended one game. I have bitched twice when I didn't get a PK I thought I deserved. Of course the video evidence showed that the call was right, both times.
Although, whenever an opposing team doesn't get a PK call I tell the press that I thought the ref made the correct call and I am glad he did lol.Comment

Finished my second season in seventh, no spot in Europe though. There were takeover talks, but they collapsed, so still with Mike Ashley. He's given me 12mil, which is okay, but I'm trying to stretch that as far as possible. I really need a right back, another striker, and probably another good winger. I have a few ideas, and I really want Darren Bent since Sunderland are relegated, but they're not having it. Probably can't get McFadden full-time since Birmingham are back in the Prem, so looking at a young Swiss winger. Anybody have any other ideas?Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

Mid-July and I'm pretty happy with the squad. I've stretched the 12 mil so much, still sitting at 10 mil with a lot left in wages too. Signed a decent attacking right back on a free, and Dindane for 1 mil. Got rid of a lot of big earners, mainly Colo, but also Jonas and Tiote. Signed Vela for around 4 mil, he's going to start on the left wing, hopefully that works out. I'm trying to sign Defour right now, then I'll sell Guthrie, also have a backup CB coming on for cheap.
Then I think I'll be done, and have some left over for January after that and I'll be pretty happy with my team. Hopefully that's good enough to get into Europe.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

Back to my Wolves game. Sitting in eighth, well behind seventh and well ahead of ninth.
More importantly, just got through the Carling Cup final, facing off against Newcastle! I beat them 2-0 home and away last year while they were in the Prem and they are now sitting 17th in the Championship.
Team is similar to the base Newcastle, LuaLua is starting at AMR. Ranger/Ameobi striker.
Also, my signing of Geromel was inspired. His pace allows him to sit behind Stearman/Hobbs and clean everything upComment

For some reason Man City wanted to spend £800k on Julian de Duzman. I think they may be trying to get Jonathon by using his broComment

Been rolling with Southampton lately looking to get them back to the Premiership.
First season went well:
Lambert was far less impressive than I thought he would be, but Lallana and Puncheon more than suitably picked up the slack.
I'm hoping to make it back to back promotions, but the Championship should be a little tougher than League One, especially given my current squad.Comment

Newcastle beat - Oxford, Watford, West Brom, Reading and Man U to reach the final
Wolves are in eight in the Prem, NUFC is 14th in the ChampionshipComment

Wolves win! Europe here we come! Everything gets a bit easier now as I am comfortably top half, in the sixth round of the FA Cup (vs West Brom) and looking good

Ended up finishing 11th, losing 3-0 to Man City in the FA Cup final, and winning the Carling Cup. Overall a good year, but the last two months were terrible. 2 wins, 3 draws, 5 losses sent me tumbling. Morale plummeted. Can't help but think we should have finished top half.
Oh well, still get to go in to Europe, hopefully get some fat funds to spendComment
