That Carling Cup win proved to be the only thing that kept us in European competition for the upcoming season.

Transfers that have already been put through for the summer window are Arteta leaving for Milan for $12.5m, and Beckford to Fulham for $4m.

I'll be searching for a left winger, fullback, and a striker in the summer window for sure.

Three games into preseason and I'm starting to get pretty carried away. I beat Anderlecht 2-0, Livingston 6-0 and drew Villareal 3-3. Probably would've won the game but I went down 3-1 20 minutes in when I was using my normal tactics instead of one's I would use against a better team. That's not really why I'm excited though, through my initial 6mil, plus a few sales I've been able to get Per Ciljan for 4mil, James McFadden on loan, and RvN on a free. All have looked good, but what's more promising is their backups have looked even better. Jonas has been awesome, and I have a lot of young players who have really stepped up, LuaLua, Vuckic, Edmundsson, Gai Assulin, and Nile Ranger have all played really well. If this keeps up, and I'll probably buy one more, I should finish mid-table pretty easily.

Drew Getafe, Metalurg ZP, and Vitoria Sport Club in the group stages of Europa League. Pretty easy draw, should have no troubles advancing.

Arsene Wenger left Arsenal for Porto in my game?! His team crushed the Premier League last year, and they were struggling a bit this year.

Quique Sanchez Flores was named the replacement.

Also West Ham have gone from a miracle fourth place finish last year to being out of the Champions League in the playoff and down in 19th place with 2 points

Picked up nine points from my first six, pretty happy with that, two wins, three draws, and a a loss to Liverpool. I think I've found pretty good tactics as well.
