Jonjo Shelvey at this point has beaten out Kaka in my starting lineup. Gerrard will have the spot when he is healthy but Shelvey is coming along very well. I'm paying Kaka a ton of money but his contract is up at the end of the year. I'll attempt to sell him but if he leaves on a free that will be fine.

Lost in the quarter finals of the Champions League to Atletico Madrid on away goals. Despite being in first (although Arsenal is 5 points back with 2 games in hand) my team has been wildly inconsistent this year. We haven't really dominated in too many games. So I'm going to switch from my current flat 4-4-2 to a 4-2-3-1 and probably get rid of quite a few players and bring in some younger guys.

Going with Sevilla since they'll be my "hometown" club while I'm living in southern Spain. This will finally solve the "who to follow in Spain" dilemma I've been having recently.

Drew Real Madrid, Panathinaikos, and Steaua in group play of the Champions League.

We added two more "trophies" as well early on in the season, winning the Community Shield against Burnley, and the UEFA Supercup match 3-0 against Barcelona. Also, forgot to mention I was named as Premier League manager of the year in 2010/2011.

The victory against Barca was bittersweet, however, as I lost Huddlestone for 3-4 months with a torn calf muscle, 4 days before the close of the transfer window. I'm scrambling to find a replacement. May settle with starting Henriksen and using Jenas/Pienaar as backups if I can't find a cheap, preferably loan option.

After spending lots of money on players with Man City (I dled a transfer update with all the summers transfers) I beat ManU in the Community Shield 1-1 on penalties and then loss my opening game to Everton 1-0 at home. I gave up after that. Back to my first Everton save.

Made it through the group stage of the Champions League, but drew Barcelona in the first knockout round.

He decided this after I dropped him to my reserve team. Bojan was my clear starter and Drogba was his backup but the emergence of James Vaughan made me drop him lower. Vaughan may challenge Bojan for the starting job.

Also, signed Tim Cahill, Tim Howard and Phil Neville to contracts that should see them finish their careers off at Everton as well.

Another note, Gareth Bale returns after being out 4 months with injury. His presence should help our team win more and challenge for the title.
