I hate how I have to be online to connect to Steam to play FM but it won't even let me play the game because it says it's unavailable. WTF? I played it last night for a few minutes.

Mine has been working fine since last night.

The only issue I've run into is that I can't seem to get the logo packs I have to work. Tried reloading the skin, changing skins, making sure the cache ticky was unticked... The facepack I used on FM11 works (thank God, cuz its like 4 GB to download again) but no logos. Downloaded a new logo package... Same thing. Shouldn't bother me but it does.

Spent a lot of time last night scouting through the database (almost 100k players!), creating a tactic, creating training schedules... I only played one match, against my reserves and they scored on me in about 90 seconds, but came back for a 4-1 win. Still need to tweak. A lot. 3-D match engine looks fucking terrific on my PC.

Started a save with my friend last night. Signed Sturridge on loan, Erik Pieters, and Nolan Roux (Luuk De Jong rejected me, but I'll definitely be going for him in my solo save). Love the tactics setup, and the layout in general. Going to see how to delete the fake files now, always have a problem with steam/mac, then going to start my real save.

Fake files are there in the Steam data folder, under DBs. If you have trouble, lemme know - when I'm back home, I can give you specifics.

I'm hoping to find the Real Names file tonight. Seeing the Bundesliga not called the Bundeliga is oddly frustrating...

It looks like I've found it. I've deleted these files in the past though and it didn't work. I'm about to load up the game, so we'll see.

Don't delete them. Open them using notepad, delete the information, and then save. It will work when you start a new game. Doesn't change anythign on an existing game.

Is this new? I've always deleted them and had no problem.

No, and it shouldn't matter. I just remember reading on a forum a long while back that clearing and saving was "more effective". No idea why, as I can't imagine the game will recreate the deleted files. I've just always gone that route since though.

Its one of those things that really shouldn't matter but I can't help noticing it constantly. Same as the lack of logos.

I've just been tooling around so far on this first game. Creating shortlists of young talent and such. So starting up a new game won't be a major burden.
