Started a St. Pauli save, it was either them, Union Berlin or Dynamo Dresden. Went through the preseason last night and did well, signed Haris Vuckic on loan, but probably won't get much more. The team should be good enough to get promoted with no other signings.

Fired up my NUFC save again after raging for the lack of saving. Beat Zenit 4-0, drew with Blackburn 1-1, beat Man City 4-1 after Kompany got sent off, and now playing Olymipiakos in my first group stage match

        I love Papiss

Also, Sidney Sam can uncork some belters. He's scored like 3 long range curlers

I was shocked when I started up with Leverkusen and saw Sam. Really impressive technical skills. His mentals are pretty atrocious - which means he'll unload those great long range strikes at really stupid times - but still a very intriguing player.

Actually decided to start a save in either Brazil or Argentina for the first time. I've never done one in South America.

I'll report back with who I choose. (suggestions are welcome).

The most frustrating thing is telling that player to rarely take long shots after the initial allure of the successful ones wares off, yet they take them just as much. I'm looking at you, Moussa Sissoko.

Santos so you have Neymar. Dude is amazing - watching him score 3 on the weekend.

I think that's mainly down to mental stats. An offensive player with the ball being pressured will make good decisions and adhere to their tactical instructions if they have the composure and decisions to do so - finding the right pass or working into a better position. Poor decisions and composure will lead to them just blasting it aimlessly at goal. Even really good players will do that at times - I had Real Madrid smashing everything from range and going way way wide in the one Champions League match I played against them with Ajax.

Santos is certainly intriguing. I'd have to do some research/work on a wingerless tactic to run with them though, as they have no wingers. I had a 4-2-2-2 box formation that I used to use that I think with the right tweaks could be just what I need.

                          It would be:

                          GK: Rafael
                          LB: Leo
                          CB: Edu
                          CB: Durval
                          RB: Para
                          DMC: Arouca
                          DMC: Henrique
                          AMC: Ganso
                          AMC: Elano
                          ST: Neymar
                          ST: Borges

Or I could do a 4-4-2 diamond with Ganso at AMC, Arouca at DMC, with Henrique and Elano as CMs

Jonas is the guy he's replacing, so it's not like either of them listen to me. At least Sam knows how to get the ball on net

I'm a little confused by the league structures in the Brazilian league. So there's the Brazilian Sao Paulo State Championship? Which runs January to April and is 19 games + playoffs. Then there's the like regular league so to speak which is 38 games long? Is that right?

                                Gotta love those players.

"I have the ball and there's a goal over there... must shoot!"

                                "But its 60 yards away!!!!"

Pretty much. The state tournaments are older than the national league. The league structure in Brazil is ridiculous, to be honest, and it has changed so much over the years that its almost comical.
