    House Party details

The full schedule for this year's Xbox Live Arcade House Party has been revealed, complete with prices and dates for the four lucky games who'll be showing up, busting moves, drinking cheap lager, then trying to snog each other from February 15.

The full schedule for this year's Xbox Live Arcade House Party has been revealed, complete with prices and dates for the four lucky games who'll be showing up, drinking cheap lager, dancing poorly, then trying to snog each other from February 15.

    February 15 - Warp (800 Microsoft Points)
    February 22 - Alan Wake's American Nightmare (1,200 MSP)
    February 29 - Nexuiz (800 MSP)
    March 7 - I Am Alive (1,200 MSP)
If you buy all four games between February 15 and March 13, you'll be given an extra 800 MSP. Whether you see that as getting Nexuiz or Warp or free, a discount on one of the others, or Microsoft bribing you to pay more attention to future XBLA releases, that's for you to decide.
Not too bad. I was expecting Alan Wake to be $20 and the rest to be $15. The fact that two are only $10 is surprising.

Those are actual kickass games that end up being a good deal with the $10 back.

I'll probably end up picking up American Nightmare and I Am Alive. Don't really know much about the other 2 though.

Depending if the other two are decent I might get them all as well to take advantage of the $10 back.

            MS phasing out MS points?

I hope it's true because space bucks are so dumb.

Does anyone remember when Maynard defended MS points because he said that MS conducts business in so many different countries there isn't a way for them to just use US currency? But yet the other two gaming companies do? And not only that but they have a bigger market share in other countries in Europe and Asia.

                LOL.

I have been raging lately because I have been carrying 150 points for forever, and anytime I add anything to buy something I'm either left with 150, or it's not enough (example, I want the Robin pack for Arkham City, but I have to buy 800 points to get it, and even then I would like to someday get the skins pack but after the 560 for Robin I'd be at fucking 390. I wouldn't mind as much if they would let me buy points by the $1 instead of the strange increments that they have. I just can't think of a mathematical situation in which I'll ever get down to 0 without spending it on something I don't want.

And that sir is the worst part of these ridiculous space bucks. That's why I love how it;s done on PS3. It will only add whatever amount I need to cover a purchase if I'm short, at least $5 worth. It makes so much more sense. I think even the 3ds eShop does that now.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm sitting at like 1370 points or something weird. I'll never get to zero. Even if I buy some stupid avatar shit.

Brnt will be happy to know that Double Fine announced yesterday that DLC is coming to Iron Brigade (formerly Trenched). Hopefully when it comes out they will put the game on sale. Hopefully.

I guess I'd be happy if I had played the game in a while. I'm not touching it again until I have a co-op partner.

I should have just bought Stacking or Costume Quest instead.

Mass Effect 3 Xbox Live demo temporarily bumps Silver subs to Gold

If you're a Silver subscriber on Xbox Live, downloading the Mass Effect 3 demo will allow you to cease being that one weirdo in your group who can't ever play with his friends online because he's a cheapskate. Upon downloading the demo, all Silver members will be automatically bumped up to Gold level until Mass Effect 3 launches on March 6.

The demo will be available on February 14 not only for Xbox 360 users, but also PC and PS3. Players will get a taste of the multiplayer component and sample the Reaper attack on Earth that opens the game.

I just got myself 4000 MS points, what are some top arcade games?

I already bought Trials HD. I saw jms playing it on Twitch last night, downloaded the demo today , Cha-Ching, played it for a couple hours tonight and had a blast.

My inspiration for Trials HD is seeing his name at #1 on every track (minus the one I beat). I'm ramming you in our next Forza race

Oh it's fun in the beginning, but be prepared for a lot of screaming at the tv later on lol.

If you drive by my house, you might see me doing this out my window.
