And you even said you have a year left of live. In a year are you really going to be hurting for $10.

I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall. I'M NOT FUCKING BROKE DUMBASS! FAR FROM IT!
I think the best comparison is when I use to have Comcast. Every six months or so they would send me a letter saying "Due to increased costs in blah, blah, blah we have to raise the cost of your service $7. And by the way, we are eliminating channels X, Y and Z. kthxbye"
They are raising the cost but not giving me anything more. Of corse the difference here is that Comcast would do it at least twice a year and this the first major increase in Live's existence that I know of.
***unsubscribed before I give myself an aneurism.***

I know you're not broke, that is why I am saying stop being such a fucking cheap ass and cry baby over 10 fucking dollars. Like jesus christ, the way you make it sound you are broke. You buy how many games a year, and how many DLC and Arcade games and you're crying over something you pay once every year. I get you "principle" but still, it's just not something to get as enraged as you do about.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

You're right. It's nothing to lose your shit about. It's just that I'm getting sick of all these gradual increases that they are trying to sneak by with to see how the consumer reacts. And as long as people keep being okay with it they will just keep going in this very bad direction.
Very much like Activision and the MW2 maps. They know that people suck that games dick so they put out map packs that are way overpriced to test the waters. Of course they sold through the roof because apparently that trash game is like crack to so many people. And because of that Black Ops maps will probably be $20 each.
The only reason I don't get pissed is because, I don't have an option. And no, gong to PS3 isn't an option for me. Besides the fact I don't want to spend the money on the system, I really only play one game all year on xbox with everyone else who has it for the same system. So without another option for live, I have to pay for it. I could go silver, but I want party. I pay my money and then forget about it. I think I bought it in May this year, and as of today, I can't remember when. It got lost in my credit card payments and was paid off months ago.
I'm not saying if it was $100 I wouldn't think about it a little more. But for now it is 60, and $10 isn't much. I just had an HST hike in Ontario, I'm use to higher prices now.

Wouldn't say they have me by the balls. I just don't really care all that much. As it is today, I'm probably a year or more from my renew, and when that date comes up, I'll pay it. It's $10 more for a year of entertainment. $5/month is nothing. You go see a movie now a days for 3 hours you're paying $10+. So to me, the value is there. $100 would be a little different, but I really don't see them getting that high. I think keeping it around a game purchase is what it will be. I think if they go higher, they have to come out with a level system and you buy what level you want.
But as it is now, all my friends have xbox. All the guys I play NHL with have xbox. So $60 a month to play with all my friends on NHL is a small price to pay. Or I could go to a free PS3 and have no one to play with except a handful of people here, and randoms. Easy choice.

I am not gonna say a thing I'm just shaking my head at the whole situation. It doesn't affect me at all so I care in the least bit, but the way you guys are shaking off this trend that MS has been going with. Eventually you will be paying another 10 bucks and then another until Live is $99 per year. Then they will be like at least it isn't 100. Like I said it doesn't affect me at all so I really don't care but the grip Ms has on you guys is amazing.
What honestly amazes me out of this whole thing is how once again common sense is thrown out the window with you guys.
I could go into why I think there is a price jump but its going to get lost with most people.
Between the cheap fucks whining about 10 fuckin dollars and the playstation noobs who will say MS has people by the balls yet they still all whine about lag in their shit multiplayer expierence that is the PSN this thread is just full of fail.
I'd have no problem with the $10 increase if they'd do away with those bullshit microsoft points and let us pay the actual cash price for downloadable content, instead of having to pay $20 for a $12 item.
