How bout Gillette with the razors, Apple with all their useless add-ons, Did you ever add on options to your car at the Dealer when buying?. I have an Audi and if I want an Audi Car cover from the dealer it is like $1000 dollars but if I buy one aftermarket it is $300. How bout Bestbuy charging you $100 for a HDMI cable. All the same shit. MS is like every other company out there.....out to take as much money from us as possible.

The problem is this is all entertainment...we don't need any of it. IF it is too expensive the easiest thing to do is not to buy it. It is not like gas or food.......

I said it after watching this thread unfold that is doesn't even pertain to me. I have no reason to hate MS. That shit is immature to even hate one side or the other. I just put my hand in the debate at how blind some of these people seem to be acting. I will put it out there that I paid for Sony's subscription service with no problem. If I had a 360 only then I understand paying the subscription, but I wouldn't say that I wouldn't be a little angry at it. If I had both I would not pay it though. In the end there is no reason to hate one or the other. And for the people dropping to insults please exit the discussion immediately since you can't get into a debate without trying to down someone else.

No shit. C'mon JMS, you're smarter than that. But we're talking about video game consoles here and specifically 360 vs PS3 accessories.

You want to charge your controller? You need to buy an accessory on the 360 (and one with batteries that only seem to last maybe a yer mind you). The PS3 controller comes with rechargeable batteries built in.
Prior to this latest console version, you want to get online wireless with your 360? $100. Built in on PS3.
Upgrade your hard drive? Especially if you were stuck with one of th eearly 20gb (really 13gb) models? Pay out the ass for a proprietary one from M$. Very cheap to swap out one on PS3.
Headset? Yeah you get a cheap one bundled in for free on 360. I will give them that. But if you want wireless? $60 for one that is dicey to say the best. PS3? You can go the official route for $40 or get any fucking bluetooth you want for as little as $15.
That's my main point. PS3 gives you options. M$ says "here are your options. Take it or leave it. Make sure to lube up first. Bwahahahahahahaha."

Sure some of these are "optional" things but for most they border on necessity. Me for instance. I could rig all my CAT-5 up but instead I have everything wireless. My only option was to give M$ $100 for something that costs them .20 cents to make.

I love how people like you only notice when I do that with MS. I do it with Sony all the time as well. If they do some bullshit "fuck over the consumer" stuff I do the same thing.

The DualShock 3 immediately comes to mind. They made all the excuses about how they couldn't incorporate both SiXAxis and vibration in the same controller when really it was because they wouldn't settle a lawsuit with Immersion. Then they do and put out the controller that everyone really wanted for $55. Thanks $ony.

Or instead of buying some expensive recharging station for your controller, you just get a rechargable battery kit, and you have it for other use then just XBox. Like I do. I have two sets. One in my xbox controller, one in my toothbrush. When xbox does, I grab the toothbrush ones (minty fresh) and game away. Recharge the others and then swap them back after. I've done this since I have had my XBox. Can also use them for camera and I used them for my disc man back in the day, so that should tell you how well they work.


I'll just add this here. Since I got my xbox, I have had no need to buy a new harddrive, because seriously, you don't need to install every single game on the damn thing. I broke one headset so use the new one from my keyboard set I got, and that I have had for a year and a half with no issues. So what other gay shit do you think I need to buy? That is MY POINT, all these extra's are not needed. Buy the game, put game in, and play. Fuck looking at ads, fucking avatars, fuck add ons and plug ins. Just let me play the game.

i got a shit load of batteries, so i dont see me needing the rechargeable thing

dont need any HDD, bc the 360 i want is 250 GB, plenty of space considering my ps3 only has 40 gb, and i still have space

read alot of shitty reviews about the mic that comes with the 360, might just go spend an extra $60 to get a better one, unless the blue tooth one i use of ps3 can work, if not, oh well, rarely use it for ps3 anyway

about some other stuff, i think the Avatar thing is a cool idea, but the whole buying clothes and stuff for it is stupid. PS3 ads arent bad, plus you can just easily turn them off i think, or just limit how much it says, dont know about 360 ads.

I did buy rechargebale batteries because, 1) the play-n-charge kit is fucking garbage and 2) I dodn't want to give MicroFuck any more of my money.
But you still aren't seeing it. How did you or I get the rechargebale batteries? Oh yeah, we fucking BOUGHT THEM.
I just plug my PS3 controller into my PS3, or, get this, ANYTHINF with a USB and voila! Charged for free!

Well, that's nice for you. But what about anyone that purchased a 360 prior to the new models rolling out? Hard drive space goes quick, especially when you're such a loyal customer like myself that actually buys DLC and arcade games.
