Demo = Getting the puck back to the point or into the slot.

Its all about the high % scoring chances. I kinda like how this is since I played a heavy heavy shutdown D style in 1 v 1 games last year so hopefully I can carry that over. Blocking shots should play a more important role this year.

Another thing I found in the demo and I'm not sure if it was like this in NHL10s hardcore mode was if you hold down the RT button it kinda builds up your pass power and allows you to have more control of it instead of just tape to tape passes thanks to pass assist last year.

Agreed........I definitely enjoy the increase passing and less shots being peppered at the goalie this year. Definitely a more realistic feel stats wise and cycling the puck isn't too bad either, I just need to learn how to take good shots.

On the defensive side checking and blocking is so awesome. Even playing the puck against the boards is fun, you can actually create a great breakout if you do it right.

I should get my game by UPS either today or tomorrow, I hope UPS works on Labor Day, who knows...

just found out K-Mart has a deal where you get a $20 gift card when you buy NHL 11, so I'll be getting it tomorrow after all

I live all the way out in Bahrain and should be getting mine either tomorrow or the day after...been playing a few hours of the demo, its such a realistic hockey experience. Just can't wait to play with Pittsburgh :D
