its totally inconvenient and a pain in the ass to try in zoom in and out while reading. and thats the only way to read the text. of course you can "see" everything. but unless u zoom in u cant read it. And by comparison, its the same turd pile setup as the wii.

i have a 57 in tv, so unless sony updated the browser and made it so you can adjust the resolution to fit your tv then you are zooming to read shit.

Who said that? All he asked was if the text was clear, we responded. No, it will never replace your PC/laptop, but it's a much better browser than the Wii, and well, clearly better than the XBOX web browser.

Its like a computer? You can zoom if you want to, its easy with the controller once you get used to it.

The text is sharp on a web browser. Not blurry at all. You can zoom in and out without losing clarity.

You do realize that not everyone has a setup like you, right? I for one have a laptop sitting in front of me in my basement where I do all my gaming. So, yes, I use the laptop for internet viewing. But not everyone has that setup either.

I know this may come as a shock but some people game far away from their computers. Crazy I know.

Also, the whole thread was about comparing the 360 to the ps3. Correct me if I'm wrong but someone chimed in and said that one of the advatnages of the ps3 was that it had a browser. They didn't say it was the greatest browser and the only one you will ever need. They simply said it was an advantage over the 360. Then you came in talking about how it was garbage. Then a few others came back and said it was far afrom garbage and worked quite well.

Its not the browser on the PS3 thats the problem.

The problem is trying to view text on most tvs. It looks like shit and most of the time you have to zoom in and out all the time. Its like browsing on your phone. It works but its kind of a pain in the ass.

Actually, my TV is fine.
I think the PS3 browser sucks and you constantly have to download plug-ins.
And, if you don't have a keyboard, if sucks even more.

Don't get me wrong, the PS3 browser is serviceable, but it's nowhere near a PC equivalent.

The whole point of the iPad is the portability. That is basically a moot point unless you have 3G.
