The whole point of the iPad is the portability. That is basically a moot point unless you have 3G.

When I'm on the couch, I don't want a laptop.
I like the idea of a tablet.
Sure it's an oversized iPhone, but I fucking hate looking at the browser on the iPhone. My old man eyes need a bigger fucking screen that that.
And the 3G plans offered in Canada are criminal.

Not to mention they have netbooks that are even smaller and cheaper than laptops if somehow a laptop is too cumbersome.

I am not saying it's crazy talk. LOL
And, frankly, I agree. iPads are fucking overpriced.
But very few laptops gets 10 hours of battery life and weigh what the iPad weigh.
And even you can't deny some of the apps are pretty cool.

I think I'm going to hold off on the conversion...360 is getting ESPN3...that is a pretty big PRO to the 360 list and could be a deal breaker for me as I use ESPN3 so much...getting those games on the big screen will be sweet.

(I'm a gambler and bet on games that aren't always on TV).

Yeah, that battery life is insane. I think I get maybe an hour out of my laptop when it's unplugged and running on optimal settings.
