I figured the only reason it wasn't reading was because when it spins in the tray it spins so fast it causes the crack to separate just slightly enough to prevent the 360 from reading it. I put a small piece of scotch tape firmly on the top of the disc where the crack is.

      So far it's working!

I should try that with my Fallout 3 game so I can give it away.

Had a copy of San Andreas like that.

It read but as soon as you tried to leave Grove St., the game stopped loading the textures for common things...

Like trees, buildings or the road my car was on at the time.

...the big blue void I fell into was fun the first go-round... not the following six.

And as I expected, after turning the console off the game won't boot again.

I was able to get it to work again but it's so fickle. I actually go the DDE onece during game play and had to fix it again.

The game is actually quite enjoyable. It's full of boss fights against the best villains in Spidey's stable of enemies. The smart quips by Spidey have actually made me chuckle more than a few times.

I just finished Act 1 of 3. Time to take a break. Hopefully I can get the game to work tomorrow.

You're a whore for games both good and bad.

Some are addicted to crack or sex or food... your vice is Video Games.

Oh, there is no question I'm addicted to games. But I've always been apposed to RPG's just because I always associated them mostly with JRPG's and games like KOTOR where the actions aren't 1 to 1. After playing games like Borderlands with the whol leveling up, loot and quests, and now Dungeon Hunter, I see that RPG's can be more than turn based battles and stuff I don't like.

Other than the insessant need to grind for levels (like a DH or a FF game), American distributors figured out a long time ago that gamers like us need that reward response in order for us to keep playing their product.

You just can't have a convoluted system of menus to scroll through in order to tell your one guy that he should drink that +5 HP potion if he wants to stay alive... it'll ruin the game in some cases.

Then again, it could be seen as a physical representation of "spill over" from the crop of ADHD gamers out now that need twitch response games to function or else they lose their shit...

If that guy with the sword doesn't kill that mage the minute he sees him (instead of having a 20 minute existential arguement of the meaning of man before a battle screen happens), they get bored.

I'm not saying it's bad (For every GTA IV, there's a Saint's Row 2), but as long as the money's coming it, it won't change.

I feel bad for games like L.A. Noire because after all the casuals find out that Rockstar put out a Sandbox game that doesn't let you kill every breathing organism in front of you, it's going right back in for trade-in credit.

I got Fable 2 for free from the XBLM when there was a glitch in their system.

I thought the game was great despite how repetitive it can be. It has some really cool boss battles.

Was that when they first released it in parts? You could download the first "part" for free, which was like a glorified demo. That's how I tried it and I liked what I saw.

I thought I remember there being a glitch posted on CAG where you could get the who game for free but I was late to the party.

Yeah, I'm reeeeeeeaaaaaaallllyyyy enjoying it right now. The boss fights are so cool and so often. The cel shaded graphics look really nice as well. The humor is also quality.

My favorite thing about the boss battles is how the game gives you tips if you're having trouble trying to figure out wtf to do. I can't tell you how many times I had to resort to a FAQ or a YouTube video to try to figure out how to battle a boss in a game.

I think a lot of people just wrote it off because it's a license property and it's published by the evil empire Activision.
