Just read this from an old post on the PlayStation forums...
Re: PS3 Data Transfer Utility - Stuck?
I just performed this operation when swapping my fat PS3 for a slim. Both had 320GB hard disks (less than 10GB free on the source PS3). The data transfer took about 3 days. Transfer grew continuously slower and it was stuck at 98% for a day. It finished in the end, though, copying everything perfectly.
If yours seems to be stuck let it be unless you get an error message. It will finish eventually, even though it's slower the longer you wait.
Consider whether you can be bothered to wait that long before you start. Smaller amounts of data will hopefully complete quicker.
So, at around 11pm she finally finished up. But now the problem I have is that it seems every game that had an online pass, DLC, etc, I have to redownload that shit. I thought it would just be for the games with data files I delete but I have to do it for Uncharted 3 and I don't think I deleted that file.
Either way, I'm back on board. Played some Starhawk with Jay tonight, which is fucking awesome. Now I need to make sure games like Uncharted 3, ModNation, Killzone 3, Battlefield, etc are up to date so that when we play those on game night I'm good to go.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say its not the PS3 thats the problem.
Sounds like you have a bad hard drive because the frustrating expierence your dealing with now is what I have to go through when I deal with when PC hard drives go bad and people want their data back.

I still need to test the Borderluhnds though.
If I can find Borderluhnds on the cheap I will go get it today!

I'm not surprised by that. Anything you previously download from the Store seems like it would need to be downloaded and activated again on the new console.

I wish I would've know that because then I just would've deleted ALL the game data because apparently the only thing I needed to hold onto were game saves.
1. They did have a DLC map thats so fucking retarded. The way you get it is through gamespots website. Its really easy just google it.
2. I finally have all the achievements for the game outside of those last two co-op ones I'll slowly get with you so I am finally done with it. What an amazing $10 deal I got with that game. The challenges aren't that bad as long as you watch videos on the best spots to spam for them.

JMS and I tried to tell you that Twigg that one night online. The only thing you really needed was the MB's of game saves you had. You could have done that on a thumb drive.
After running that PS3 hard for 2 weeks straight, I'd be tempted to return/exchange it and do it again.
I can't seem to get enough of the HR derby mode on The Show for Vita. I think I have all of the derby and stadium specific trophies except for hitting a HR 490ft. I've hit 487 multiple times but can't hit 490. Argh! I've used every slugger in the game and even have played in Coors Field as suggested over at ps3trophies.org.
I tried pre-ordering the ultimate edition of Borderlands 2 at Best Buy today. The kiosk printed out the receipt and I thought I was good to go. Go to customer service and it won't scan. It's because they aren't selling them. Damn you 2K. Give us more of these so I can give you my damn money!
After seeing JMS's posts about NFS: The Run I decided to pop my copy in. I hadn't played it in forever and I wasn't very far into the story mode so I just started over.

I hit 489 several times. Tried to hit 490 every time I was on the shitter for about a week. Didn't think that trophy would be that hard but holy fuck.
