any word if the leveling will be the same as is in oblivan? i like how they make u use a skill to level it up. its like a true role creation cause your role evolves based on how u play.
i also hate the level cap they had in FO3. im a level whore and its one of the funnest things about an RPG. i love being able to level up as high as i can and i hope there is no cap in this oneComment

yeah that gonna be insane. hard to believe they can fit it all on 1 disc.

P.S. If you have a PC that's midrate, it would likely handle Morrowind, which is just as spectacular of a game if not better than Oblivion. Not sure your gaming schedule over the rest of the year since these games are massively time consuming, but absolutely worth a go if you have the time for it.Comment

im reading these wikis about how leveling works. it took me awhile to go from 2 to 3...but then i jumped from 3 to 4 real fast. So im trying to get a better understanding of how i should be leveling up and get the +5 bonus each time.
then i see all this stuff on over leveling and efficient leveling and the thing killgod mentioned about jumping around raising your acrobates. I walk alot so i see my athletics going up.
im wondering if i need to start over and do this right, or if i can fix it now while its still early on
Is it the 7 major skills that cause you to level up?
How do i make sure i get a +5 bonus every time - for example if i want the +5 in intelligence, willpower and strength what do i need to do to make sure thats what i get?
EDIT - just slept to check my level up from 3 to 4 and i dont have a +5 in anything. i have a +3 in intelligence and will power...how do i get those up to +5?Comment

omg...i found another wiki that explains leveling better. it sounds like a major pain in the ass to try and level up in this game and get the +5 bonus each time.
then i see i chose major skills that seem worthless to have....FUUUUUUUUUComment

im kind of discouraged by this leveling system now that i see how it works. Do i really want to spend all my time managing how i level efficently? is it really needed? this concept is all about using specific skills and making sure to only level up each skill this many points so you dont over level and you make sure you get a +5 bonus each time out.
im sitting here with my game reloaded in the before i come out of the sewers re making my guy wrtting notes and making spreadsheets so i can manage how i level up properly so i dont fuck things up when im 50 hours in.
on one hand i feel like fuck this cause its not abotu playing the game, its about leveling your guy. On the other hand i love making sure i get the most out of leveling....but this feels way to complex to want to deal with.
how did you guys play the game? did you just play or did you also play this manage your leveling thing?Comment

My advice, just play the game and make your choices.
The more you read about how you could have made your character "slightly" more of the "perfect build" the more you're going to annoy yourself.
Clearly you were having fun and enjoying the game, looking into this stuff is turning you off. So simply put, stop browsing, just kill some baddies and enjoy the ride.Comment

i was just playing and letting the chips fall where they may. building my guy based on how i was playing, and it was great. Then i started looking into leveling it turned into me playing the way a group of guys outlined for you to be the most badass guy out there. thats nothing more then me playing someone else role.Comment

I laughed when I read that you were making spreadsheets. No need for that at all LOL
Put the game in today for the first time in three years to finish the Thieves guild. Started at 5:00 and I just finished now at 9:00. Ridiculous how much this game can suck you in, and I forced myself to stop only because I have to do a presentation for class tomorrow.Comment

With nothing of interest coming until end of August I think i'm going to do another Oblivion playthrough throughout July/August.
a complete (or as close as I can) to 100%, including Shivering Isles. play it full out sim style too, no warping around the map and shit, etc. I only ever did a "story run" on an old Gamertag when the game came out years ago, so there should be a bunch of stuff I've never done before.Comment

I don't recall ever using the warp feature during my story playthough way back when. The concept sucks. Wouldn't have been so bad if there was a select few spots you could "warp" to, but being able to whip around the map as you will is pretty gay.
The vampire side quest was the only one I ever completed in that one run. Although cause the cure quest was a pain I reloaded a save and continued on from there without going vampire.Comment
